N.J. Mom Gives Birth On Airplane
NEW YORK (CBS) ¯ A New Jersey mom gave birth while flying aboard a 'Korean Air' jet on Tuesday.

Jadan Lawrence knows how to make an entrance. His parents Daniel and Jacel Brown were on a 14-hour flight home from the Philippines, when Jacel went into labor. Daniel, a trained EMT, shifted his wife from their coach seats to the kitchen area of the plane.

"A couple hours into the flight she started having pains," said new dad Daniel Brown. "She walked 30 feet and was able to kneel and lay down pretty much by herself, with this baby coming out. Two pushes, a minute and a half [and it was] done."

"I was not really scared at all - just worried about the baby being healthy," said Jacel Brown.

Jadan was born 37,000 feet above Canada, and is now being cared for at Lourdes Medical Center in South Jersey.

"The baby's doing remarkably well," Dr. Sherrilynn Parrish told CBS 2 HD. "He weighs 2 pounds 13 ounces and he survived another 3 hours on the airplane."

Jadan's parents are still working on the baby's paperwork - including his birth certificate. They hope to obtain dual citizenship between Canada and the U.S. for him.

I saw this on the local news this morning. The anchors were having a giggling fit about it because the female anchor asked if this was not worthy of an emergency landing.

Her co-anchor replied like he was the baby... "No, I'm good. But do you have another bag of peanuts?"

LMAO! I'm just laughing at the fact that he was born above Canada and they are trying to get him dual citizenship. Isn't he already Canadian since he was born 37,000 feet above Canada?

For some reason I'm imaging some broad just crouching down in the aisle and dropping a baby next to an air sick bag.
