Title: Tired of being a victim
Jules - June 30, 2008 08:17 PM (GMT)
I love Kendall. Really love her. It starts with the fact that that purple blouse is so gorgeous on AM, and it ends with her being so damn tired of being afraid and of the Fusion women being the targets of lunatics.
I liked that Kendall was the leader of the Fusion girl scout troup when Zach and then Jesse showed up. Even her partner was less chatty than usual, although when she did speak, she did piss me off. Poor Kendall, unable to give compassion to Greenlee when she makes Babe's kidnapping all about her.
I liked that Kendall had enough fear to be concerned for Zach, but not enough to ask him not to go. I'm very glad she asked him why he was at Richie's motel room, and even happier that Zach answered her rather than being evasive.
I wish she had a different detective partner, but at least she's not staying at home, folding laundry while the menfolk look for Babe Carey.

ITA Jules. I loved that Kendall was ready to take things into her own hands. This is the second time that the Fusion women have been targeted by a crazed psychopath. In coming episodes I hope we get to see kick-ass Kendall show the PV justice system how things should be done.
Greenlee’s pity party about her experiences in the “hole” are just not believable. She uses it only when it suits her purposes to get sympathy and it just does not work. It made me so angry that Kendall fell into her sympathy trap today and as usual was brutally rejected. Zach’s demons from the “hole” are very real and are very believable and I just wish that he would let Kendall in and allow her to help him heal.
Zach obviously came to Fusion to make sure that Kendall and the other women were OK. Kendall’s surprise attach I think intrigued him, judging from his expression. I also think that Kendall’s protectiveness gave him some warm feelings. They were more like the typical Zen that I have missed the past weeks. Though their conversation could have had more depth to it, considering the seriousness of the situation, Kendall allowed Zach his space. Though one could see her concern about what plans for Richie may have been twirling around in Zach’s head, her trust in his decisions was sincere.
Zach and Jesse’s interaction IMO showed mutual respect, even if they did not agree on how to deal with Richie Novak. Jesse’s hearing Zach’s disappointment at not having killed Richie when he had a chance, was a very soapy twist, making Zach a likely suspect in the event of Richie’s demise.
I enjoyed Erica’s and Samuel’s conversation. Though I do not like the tragedy of Sept 11th used as a plot point, Samuel’s story about his wife was poignant. Their’s could be an interesting relationship. I am not a Jerica fan any more, because of Jack’s obnoxious behavior towards Kendall and his groundless worship of his manipulative selfish bitch of a daughter.

OT I have to agree with Jules she does look beautiful in that purple blouse. When I met her at Sears in Oak Brook IL she had on that blouse. She looked awesome in it.

Fusion - When are they gonna buy a clue and burn that place to the ground?
- Greenlee is so lame. "Oh, someone knocked me down! Babe was kidnapped, but my ass hurts! It reminds me of being in the bomb shelter--the one that I managed to walk into because I was on the lam, and didn't want to get help for Zach that bad, but wanted to avoid being charged with his murder if he died! Waaaaah! Pity me, pity me! But don't touch me because I want you to feel sorry for me and feel guilty at the same time! Waaaaah!" Ugh. Don't feel sorry for her. Never will.
-Amanda needs her own storyline. Seriously! She's much more interesting, layered, and likeable. Hook her up with Josh already!!!
-Kendall was awesome. Assertive, protective, compassionate, and far too good for the company she keeps (and yeah, I meant to make a pun there with company--Greenlee and Fusion). Loved that she's taking the initiative again, but wish she could be off with Zach rather than the green plague. I loved the scream when the elevator doors opened, the fact that she was so concerned about Zach, and wanted to go with him. Wish she could have!
-Zach was in fine form. Scary, lethal--though not quite so quiet as he usually is. Well, he was quiet when he spaced out thinking about Richie, but not when he voiced his opinion on the police action. When Zach gets all forceful like that, well, you just know something big is bound to happen. TK is so amazing when it comes to showing inner conflict. Loved that he didn't pander to the plague, but took charge and focused on what was really important. I was really impressed with the Zach/Jesse convo. Zach was angry and cynical, but he wasn't abusive toward Jesse (as some others who shall remain nameless would have been). Jesse was a little too eager beaver today for me. "Be strong. Be vigilant." I mean, come on. Oh well.
-Zen together! Well, their scenes were too short, as usual, but I liked them. Kendall was concerned about everybody, but the way she worries about Zach and the way wants to help him are beautiful. Zach's protective vibe and his reassurance to Kendall are wonderful too. I just want the two of them working together on this, a la SS.
PVPD - I like that one cop that Jesse keeps talking to. Hope he sticks around. Did they ever explain where Derek went? Lt. Perry sure was excited that Jesse came on board. Angie and the cutesy Mrs. Chief stuff needs to go. Annie's so transparent, and her confiding in Angie is probably gonna come back to bite her later. Ryan is so lame, trying to order Jesse around. At least Jesse didn't seem like he's gonna take it in future.
Prison - I like Erica and Sam. Not overly fond of the 9/11 plot point stuff, but hopefully that will die down soon. The convo between them was a convo between equals--unlike the Jerica ones. I say go Erica and Sam!
Chandlers - The Adam vs. JR feud is just getting so terribly, terribly old. KWAK needs to shut up.
GO TEAM SLATER!!!

Awesome Kendall today. Looks like she's getting that old spunk back. Loved her with the umbrella and the look Zach gave her - too cute. She looked beautiful as usual (the girl never looks bad) and I love her concern for her husband and how she trusted in him to do what he had to do.
As for GB, the girl gets no sympathy because she doesn't deserve any. She's a nasty bitch pure and simple and shows no compassion and, you're right Diva, only uses the "I remember the hole" when it suits her and it's getting so old. I also don't see any pain on her face when talking about the damn hole unlike Zach who rarely talks about it but you still feel his pain if that makes sense.
Getting back to Kendall, I also loved how she handled everything with maturity unlike her partner who acts like she's 12. I really wish Kendall and Amanda became good friends. I think they're more alike than Kendall and GB.

I burst out laughing at the "...the fuck???" look on TK's face when she came at him with the umbrella. I do think it would have been even more funny if she hit him with the umbrella and then threatened to hit him with something harder if he kept pushing her before stomping off to the gym.
Jesse looked teh hawt in that suit. Loved it. Zach and I are on a break but damn if he and Jesse didn't look awfully nice chatting on mute. If you watch them backwards on mute you will see a fascinating study of alpha males whipping them out to be weighed and measured. Jesse won this round though because even Wand doesn't want to deal with his ass lately so it's been in hiding. It only comes around to see Kendall.

"Word" is not something I usually say, but damn if this isn't the wordiest word that ever worded. That is exactly what I'm taking from Jesse vs. Zach, Round 1, and I think both actors enjoyed it alot. Honestly, MEK's Tad doesn't have the strength (IMO) to match up with him, and DC's Adam, though a very strong character, is less about the machismo and more about being top dog in the corporate world, which isn't quite the same. But DW's Jesse has the smarts and the ability to adlib a line or a look, just like TK does, and that's not only a fair fight, it's an interesting one.

I think TK and DW both have that oozing sex appeal, fighting for male dominance thing going that is both interesting and hot. Plus, they both look fantastic in dark suits. I think that Jesse is kind of Z's equal in that sense.
Cam and AT = pretty boy thing going so it's just amusing when they face off to TK/Zach. I always feel like they're afraid Zach is gonna steal their lunch money.
DC = fantastic actor but with the Adam/Zach scenes I always get the feeling that there is a more of the meeting-of-the-minds-I-have-more-money-than-you kind of thing
MEK = MEK has perfect comedic timing so he and Zach are always about trading insults and sarcastic humor.
