Title: I know of what I speak

Jules - August 1, 2008 08:51 PM (GMT)

I'll be honest: I've loved Kendall's instincts about Annie being right on, and I've really loved her being furious with her because she sold Zach out to Jesse. But I've felt that something was lacking. I would like her to talk more about her concerns about having a wacky lady as Spike's stepmom, but that would involve mentioning her sons, and we can't do that more than once a week, especially if AMC isn't going to show us the boys. Grrrr. Anyway, the little speech she made about how she's been where Annie is, and that way madness lies, was very good and I think AMC (and Addie Walsh) knew it needed to be addressed. And I'm glad Zach listened to her.

I enjoyed Kendall's "Told ya so" moment with Ryan when he found the key hidden behind the photo.

Just want to point out that it's now two months since we've seen Ian with Kendall. Spike's birthday party was the last time we saw her hold her miracle boy. She was playing with Spike two weeks later when Zach came home and wanted revenge on Richie, so it's almost two months since Kendall's been with Spike.

As someone who initially thought the teen story would be good, I have to hang my head in shame. I thought the main idea for a teen storyline in the summer was to attract those high school and college viewers who are home for the summer, but I can't imagine anyone tuning in to AMC for this story alone. But I did like Angie telling Cassandra she can't run anymore, and that Jesse should do what he needs to do.

I don't mind Richie coming back as a ghost and playing on Annie's conscience, but I hope AMC doesn't overdo it like other soaps are with their ghosts. If AMC didn't want to lose Billy Miller, they shouldn't have killed off Richie.

I will pay AMC alot of money if they can come up with a better storyline than Adam vs. JR, which seems to rev up every other month or so. It's so tedious.

Zen - Well, we didn't get the trenchcoat stuff, but at least Zen started out together today. Kendall's the only one who sees what a total whackjob Annie is, and I'm glad she's telling Zach. His niceness to Annie is definitely tinged with suspicion, but I feel like he's just doing his thing by playing it cool--very Slater--and proceeding with caution. Plus, if he's nice to Annie, maybe that will help keep her from going after Kendall, because if she realizes just how much Kendall is reading her, she might see her as too much of a threat, etc., etc., etc. . . .

Zach/Annie - I really don't want them all vacationing together. One big happy family. Barf. Sounds like a nightmare to me. I do love seeing Zach figuring people out though. I really think Annie laid it on a bit thick with the "I miss being friends with Kendall" stuff, and Zach's seen her routine a few too many times to be taken by it again.

Annie/Ryan/Richie - Not so subtle walking right in with the wrench. And then going on and on about being jealous. If Ryan has his memory back, shouldn't he see all the weirdness? Or is he just so wrapped up in his latest obsession that he isn't paying enough attention? I floved seeing Richie again!!!

Kendall/Ryan - Go, Kendall! While it still bugs me that Kendall can't forgive Annie when she can forgive a certain other person for far more vicious, selfish, hateful things, I'm really glad she's seeing the danger. Ryan needed to cut the attitude with her, because she's totally right. And frankly, he should be thanking her for supporting him in his constant flip-flopping, lovey-dovey moping festival. Eeesh.

Chandler - Take him down, Adam! Take him down. JR's so smug right now it's making me ill. And it wouldn't bother me nearly as much if he didn't want to screw Kendall out of Fusion, but as it is, I hope Adam kicks his ass.

PVPD - Loved Jesse. And I'm glad Angie agreed with him. Those kids are sooooooooooooo stupid and annoying that right now I hope they all get in all kinds of trouble. There wouldn't have been a problem if they'd stopped, reported the incident, etc. Even if they'd reported it later, things would go better, but they're just too friggin' stupid and obnoxious. Take 'em down, Chief! I know they didn't actually kill him, but take 'em down for sheer whiny, ungrateful, irritating idiocy!!!

Graidan - Gag. The thing that I took away from that revolting display was anger that they're trying to copy Zen by building their own house. Of course, Zach designed Zen's house all on his own, and pathetic Aidan needed a program to do it, but it still bugged me. I was watching live today and couldn't FF--talk about torture. That's what I get for knocking off work early, I guess. I wish the gas leak would get 'em too. Jake'll probably get home, save them, and then have to loofa his eyeballs.

GO TEAM SLATER!!! :yay

Jules I felt the same way. Why hasn't Kendall mentioned Emma once. I would think if Kendall thought Annie was going nuts her first concern would be about Emma but in the world of AMC children just exist for plot purposes.

I actually thought when Kendall mentioned how she's been where Annie is that she was going to mention how she set GB up for kidnapping. To me every time I see how Annie's acting I think about how GB drove Kendall to frame her. I personally feel that GB has driven Annie to this point and I would have liked for Kendall to see that but, of course, Kendall must be Rylee's cheerleader to that wouldn't come up nor would Emma.

Why can't these writers understand that they would have a better story if they didn't have to prop these two characters (Ryan and GB).

IAN WHO? He has no Lavery in him so therefor he does not count.

ITA about Adam and JR. How many times have we seen this story? I sure hope Pratt has something new for these two.

Why criticize Kendall for not mentioning Emma? Who is Emma to Kendall? Quick--Name the last time Kendall and Emma shared airtime together!

I also think you're going off on a tangent by bringing up Greenlee. Annie isn't Greenlee. RB and MCE are two different actresses. Kendall talked about Annie yesterday. Zach went to support Annie yesterday. Greenlee was boffing Aidan during a gas leak. Two different characters.

In addition to Kendall, Zach has forgiven Greenlee and they're closer than ever. On too many occasions to name, including May 29's debacle, Zach was Greenlee's Number 1 cheerleader. Are you upset with that, too? I don't like it, but Kendall's a big fan of Rylee. I also DETEST that Zach is Greenlee's friend for life, no matter what she may do to Kendall, but they are best friends now and I accept that. That has nothing to do with yesterday's show.

Kendall's motives are as follows: she's angry that Annie turned on Zach (and Kendall); she's feeling sorry for Ryan in his loveless marriage; she recognizes traits in Annie which she herself had; and she's genuinely afraid of what Annie might do. I don't like one of them, but I love the rest.

I would love it if we could have a discussion about what's on our TV screens, and not about how much Greenlee and Ryan suck.

It would be RELLY nice if we saw the boys more. We saw Spike a lot whenn he was first born, why can't we see more of the slader family togther? The writers did it again......on the last show we saw zendall together for 1 min. and then zach left......writers......BRING US MORE OF TEAM SLADER.......PLEASE!!!

I agree Jules. Why the hell would she mention Emma? Emma isn't her child. The person that should be concerned about Emma is her momma. Instead of thinking of her child's welfare she is more concerned about whether or not her husband is boinking his ex-wife.

I really don't think that what is going on with Annie has much to do with Greenlee. Greenlee plays a part in it but mostly this is Annie desperate to keep Ryan because she knows that she is going to lose him. She realizes that he doesn't love her anymore and instead of letting go she is using extreme measures to hold on to him. In the process she's murdered her brother, framed a man that she calls friend/family and pissed off her friend/family/boss. She's striking out all over the place.

Do you think Annie will leave AMC???

Dianna08 - August 3, 2008 12:27 AM (GMT)
I agree with Jules and J.

Emma is not Kendall’s child, so to me it is irrelevant whether Kendall mentions Emma or not. Emma is Annie and Ryan’s child, and if Annie were not so busy chasing Ryan around and causing trouble, then maybe she could worry about her child. But instead of worrying about and taking care of Emma, Annie is too busy trying to kill people, purposefully wreaking her car and yet again dumping her child on Zach, Kendall and Rachel. JMO

Jules, I agree that AMC knew Kendall's past regarding "ANGER" needed to be addressed, I just DISAGREE in how they used it......I feel like Kendall would be more sympathetic and understanding to Annie....granted, she would have given Annie the business for trying to rail road her husband, but in no way do I think she would be screaming for Rylee....she wouldnt be all friendly with either of them during this because she would be re-living her own nightmare of how Ryan repeatedly said he loved her but always found reasons to "save Greens".......

but, no matter what they have Kendall say or do I love her and support her......
