Title: Dear Employees (A Letter to Fusion)
Jules - August 6, 2008 06:45 PM (GMT)
Dear Babe and Amanda,
Allow me to introduce myself to you. I'm Kendall Hart Slater. I'm your boss. I pay your salary. I hired you--Babe, after Greenlee dumped your ass, I hired you back. Amanda, when all you knew was how to make a bloody mary, I gave you a job.
I know we haven't all been working in the same office at the same time. Know how I know that? Because when I was here last night, doing Annie's job, Babe and Amanda weren't around. And when I was the brains behind the Charm perfume and related book deal, you were pushing pencils at your desks, unable to match what I personally contribute to this company. I'm the co-creator and face of Fusion. You work for me. Talk to me like shit again, and I'll fire your asses--just as soon as I get back from Vegas and confirm to the world that Annie is a psychopath.
If you have attitude, give it to Greenlee. She sunbathes and goes sailing and disappears without letting anyone know. I'm the one who tries to make up for her screwups by buying you coffee and breakfast. GMAB with your gripes. You do a great job, but you're not working 24/7, so let's stop the crap.
But I'll give you a thank you. Thanks for also seeing that Annie's a fruitcake. Babe, it took you too damn long to realize that, but hey, better late than never in your case. Now do your job, don't question why I, your boss, am going to Vegas, and if I'm considerate enough to give you an explanation, accept it without commentary or criticism. Ain't none of your business if I'm playing slots or checking out Spike's insane stepmom.
You've decided not to quit. I've promised to make things up to you. Now quit your yapping and leave the insults about me and my life at the door. You're getting far more out of this job than you're implying, so do your job, so that Babe, you can go home to the Chandler mansion and your multimillionaire ex-hubby, and Amanda, you can go home to your yacht and your overflowing bank account, and get some rest to face the new day, like all employees around the world do. Minus the mansion, yacht and overflowing bank account.
See you when I see you,
Kendall Hart Slater
Boss

Whew, Jules.
That's a thing of beauty.
Jermetria - August 6, 2008 07:16 PM (GMT)
LOL....great job on the letter Jules. Now if only we knew that is what Pratt had in store. Instead I foresee more bitchiness from two women that need to STFU.
Jules - August 6, 2008 07:19 PM (GMT)
Oh, it was fun to write, Dink. I was so overwhelmed with WTFness from the Fusion scenes, I didn't even comment on the pretty Zen or their open conversation about Crazy Annie and her possibly being a threat to their sons. So you know I'm feeling passionate about the Fusion stuff. LOL
Desiree - August 6, 2008 07:58 PM (GMT)
I want to marry that letter on the At Last, Jules.
Seriously, I really don't get where these people get off pulling that shit. Kendall created and owns the damn company. Some people don't even know what the owner of their company looks like or exactly what he/she does.
If I were Kendall and they pulled that shit I would have told them goodbye as I waved around a stack of applications from people who would happily take their place in a heart beat.
Melanie - August 6, 2008 08:12 PM (GMT)
That was Awesome Jules!! :thumbsup
Jermetria - August 6, 2008 08:16 PM (GMT)
I'm guessing the bitch faces they pulled when Kendall left, after giving them permission to hire extra help, is how we wind up with the Ho at Fusion. I guess that is their way screwing Kendall and Greenlee over. <_<
Diva - August 6, 2008 08:25 PM (GMT)
Great letter Jules!Kendall should have sent both of them packing.
The scenes at Fusion today foretell of employer/employee problems to come right about the time we see Pratt's writing on our screens.
Jules - August 6, 2008 08:27 PM (GMT)
Ok, that's another thing. Hiring power. I mean, WOW. Kendall is such a bitch, she gave Babe and Amanda the power to hire an employee. No limit on salary. No need to run it past her or Greenlee. You need help? The sky's the limit. Hire whomever you like.
What a rotten boss.
Then you have Erica, who believes that the Fusion employees have such limited skillsets that Carmen, funny lady but no college grad that she is, would be perfect at Fusion. Carmen, who's an ex-con who mangles the English language, is Fusion material. Kinda makes Babe and Amanda a little less special if Carmen can join their team.
And then with Randi the Whore on deck--we're back to Fusion being the Ellis Island of Pine Valley. What a unique vision Chuck Pratt has for Fusion!

I remember when Kendall fired all the ladies of Fusion and hired MBA's long, long ago. She should do that again.
Jules, A-W-E-S-O-M-E letter, lol.

Loved you letter Jules especially this part since I feel this whole conversation should have been with GB and not Kendall. When have we not seen Kendall at work except for when she was in the hospital. She made this company and her workers have always respected her until recently (another good job by B&E).
By the way, where the hell is the princess.
I don't think Mr. Pratt is going to make us like Fusion anymore than we have in the past if this is his vision.

Fab letter Miss Jules.
But I would like to match up Carmen's qualifications against Babe's. Let's see..... Babe just got her GED last year. We don't know about Carmen's education, but she was given a crash course by Erica on fashion, beauty and confidence while they were holed up in a beauty warehouse.
IMO "Beauty by Kane 101" ranks far higher than the "Hobilly's guide to snagging a man".
And if Supahstar's biggest fan is working for Supahstar's daughter, who is also married to that fine looking hunk of man, I'm thinking she might be a good lower level ally. I would pay to see Carmen threaten Babe with a letter opener just like they were in the can.

Jules you are my hero with that letter, I freaking love it.
Babe and Amanda need to STFU and quit their damn complaining.
zenamo - August 7, 2008 03:16 AM (GMT)
Jules, that letter was friggin' fantastic! You really should send it to Pratt. I mean, those scenes were so WTF that i could barely stand it. I was all "Dude, WTF was that?! Ugh." You guys have covered it so well already, so I don't have much to add except that I hate Fusion. And it really, really, really bothers me that Kendall is equal partners with Greenlee, because Greenlee couldn't really have inherited Simone's shares since Simone's shares were given to her by Ethan--who never really owned them in the first place because ACS wasn't actually dead. That has been driving me insane ever since they wrote that. So Miranda's shares all reverted back to ACS, but not Simone's from Ethan? Argh!!!
I wish they could send Josh over from Cambias to help out--he worked there before and damnit I miss CE!
I didn't know they were gonna hire the hooker since i try to stay away from spoilers, but UGH. What, did Amanda need someone with shorter hemlines/lower necklines so she won't get busted for soliciting? (I used to like Amanda, but that girl is just a turncoat lately.)
As for the rest of the show:
Zen - As always, their scenes were too short, but I loved 'em anyway. I'm so glad they're getting on the same wavelength here. Of course, I wish Zach had opened up a little more instead of doing the whole "do you trust me?" thing because it seems like a lame attempt on the writers' part to create suspense where it isn't necessary. There's no need for Zach or Kendall to keep anything from each other regarding Annie, there's still uncertainty and doubt to be had as they figure out that Annie's not just a whackjob, but a murdering whackjob. Anyway. I was glad to see their bedroom again too, and glad to hear the kids mentioned. At least they can protect Spike and Ian easily enough as Annie doesn't seem to care about them anymore--considering that they aren't Ryannie spawn. How are they gonna get Emma away from her though, now that she's using her as a guilt prop? Eeesh. I really want to see Zen back in that hotel room that they first met in, and I want flashbacks too, just 'cuz. TK and AM were always all kinds of hawt.
Zach/Jesse - I really liked the PVPD scenes between them. Short and sweet, and so much said with so little. Loved the way TK kept saying "curiosity." I know some of you thought it made Jesse look a little slow on the uptake, but I disagree on that one. I didn't think it made Jesse look bad that Zach had to tip him off that something was wonky, because Jesse doesn't know Annie that well, wasn't at the accident site to see if anything was off, and has been a little preoccupied with the whole teen scene. I'm glad Zach's working with Jesse, even if only tangentially. TK and DW are great.
Adam/Erica/Carmen - Well, that wasn't really all that interesting today. It seemed a bit forced. Erica should have stopped while she was ahead. It was so obvious that Carmen was gonna get fired. I was hoping that Erica would call Tad to get Carment a job, because I too thought that Carment couldn't work for anyone related to Erica. I guess since Babe now has hiring power, they'll go with that loophole or whatever.
JR/Colby - I kinda felt for JR today. I'm glad that he mentioned the Kendall thing among his sins--though he didn't mention that she was pregnant even though he brought up Haley being pregnant when he injured her. I guess it'd look too much like he attacked pregnant women all the time. Anyway. Colby was stupid and I'm so ready for her to be backburned or leave.
Angie/Frankie - I really couldn't care less. I like Angie when she's not shrieking and all, but this whole Frankie and the hooker thing is so dull it's like watching paint dry.
Sam/Dre/Melvin - Those scenes were okay, I guess, but waaaaaaaay too long. They don't need to suck up all the airtime like that.
GO TEAM SLATER!!!
