I'm cynical. I didn't expect Zach and Kendall to recall that this was the city where they met. Or that this was the city where they escaped Alex Sr.'s shenanigans. But I did think that we'd at least get some recognition that:
--Kendall is also the owner of this casino. Everyone talks about it as if Zach is the sole owner.
--Ryan has been at this very casino before. He looked at it as if he'd never been there before, and again, this is how he and Kendall met Zach.
I also think it's stunningly moronic that they're going to the very same chapel where Graidan are. I mean, I suspend disbelief alot when I watch soaps, but this is too much. Even TK and RB are commenting publicly at that silliness.
I'm tired of Rylee propping, Ryan propping and Zannie friendship propping. I would like someone to name one thing Annie has done for Zach or Kendall in 2008.
I like bitchy Kendall. I don't mind sly Zach as long as he's not doing it in the name of protecting his good friend Annie. I'm glad Zach's not a suspect in Richie's murder anymore, but both Kendall and Zach are being used badly in this story.
I detest Cassandra. I'm not caring about Colby and her drinking.
For a Vegas trip that I thought had promise, it turns out not so much.
I think some drama is comming up :yay :yay :yay
Zen - At least they're talking to each other. Too bad they're talking about stupid Ryan and PsychoAnnie. I HATE propping duty. Sigh. I don't like the fact that they writers are trying to portray Kendall as so suspicious that she just can't reign in her Annie hate. I mean, come on. Kendall's not always subtle, but she's capable of far more self-control than they're having her exhibit just now. Ryan saying their friendship would be over was so low though--as if he should have some giant rift with Spike's mom; emotional blackmail much? And what are the writers trying to do to Zach by having him repeating his question about whether Annie talked to Richie after he kidnapped Babe? I mean, come on. Zach is a master of subtle (just one more reason why he and Kendall complement each other so well!), but they had him being awfully direct today. His tone was nice and calm, but I still expected Annie to start shrieking "why are you grilling me?!"
On the upside, Zach and Kendall are figuring things out, sharing those things with one another, working together, and presenting a united front. And I love how into each other they are even when dealing with all this garbage. I just hope Zen gets to have their own story soon! This propping ish is exhausting.
A few questions:
-Did Ryan ever apologize to Zach for his asshatness during the amnesia? I know he apologized to Kendall at BJ's (when she insta-intuited that he wuvs Greenlee), but has he apologized to Zach? He really, really, really needs to. (I wish they'd given him aphasia instead.)
-Does Ryan know that Zach knows that the Greenlee wuv is back?
-Do Kendall and Ryan have any kind of formal custody agreement for Spike? I'm just wondering in case it gets ugly with all this mess. And did Ryan ever get legal rights to Emma?
-Is it really Michael Cambias's birthday today? Was that a coincidence? A convenient write-in for info that wasn't previously pinned down? Or was it just an unnecessary lie that the writers had Zach tell?
(I'm being nitpicky, I know, but I couldn't help but wonder.)
Graidan - Gag. The Graidan/Babs/Foster thing was sooooooooooooo heavy-handed and ridiculous. And it bothered me that they said they met at Woodstock during the Summer of Love--I wasn't born then, but even I know that the Summer of Love was in '67 and Woodstock was in '69. Lame, writers, very lame.
KWAK/Colby - Ugh. STFU, Colby. This girl is useless. And will KWAK ever stop being such a useless hypocrite?
Angie/Cass - Ugh. STFU, Cass. How stupid is she? After Jesse explained why it was a bad idea for her to see Dre, she goes right for him. Lying to her mother yet again. Poor Angie.
Tad/Jesse - Okay, I liked them. They went through the suspects, and it didn't even bother me that much that Tad suggested Zach because he also suggested other people--including Ryan. Plus, I love it when Tad's playing video games and stuff. Just need some candy bars for his cereal scenes too. I think it's lame that Jesse contemplated resigned because of his whiny little diva stepdaughter though. And it's hilarious that Tad was breaking into Annie's car. I wonder what she did with the tire iron anyway . . .
GO TEAM SLATER!!!
I am tired of Kendall and Zach being relagated to propping duties of the pathetic on the show and their characters used to drive home plot points in this dragged out s/l. There is little of who they are on this show. I am so tired of watching Kendall's character being abused by these writers just to get their stupid Rylee pairing. Kendall is so much smarter and more cunning then they are writing her. She has good common sense and a heart of gold. There is no way that she would be seeing all this evil in Annie without good reason and so far other than resenting Annie for turning on Zach there has been nothing on the screen that would justify Kendall's over the top suspicions. I want the new head writer to free Kendall's character from this Ryan/Rylee worship, which has absolutely no basis, since their history has been one of continual abuse of Kendall by Ryan as well as by Greenlee.
Ryan being written as this noble hero, sacrificing his love for Greenlee to be with a woman that he does not love just because she is pregnant with his baby is so much :bullshit . Ryan is and has always been a self-absorbed abusive sanctimonious conman, whose love interests change with the wind or should I say with the writer's pen. Even today he emotionally abused Kendall by telling her that their friendship is over if she does not back off Annie. IMO this writing is doing Cam no favors and the Rylee pairing, if that is what they are going for, is going to fall flat on its face as another AMC disaster. At this point in time I have sympathy for any Graiden fans that are out there, because they are being taken for a ride.
I did like it that Zach and Kendall agreed together to separate Ryan and Annie to allow Zach to carefully question Annie. Of course it was at the expense of us having to listen to Kendall's Lavery worship :madashell.
However, Zach suceeded in gleening from Annie that she knows more about Richie's death then she lets on.
I'm glad that Zach shared that info with Kendall. They are great working as a team and I don't mind it at all that they disagree on how to handle Annie. They are both strong individuals and have a right to their opinions. I even enjoy their snarking and yet still remain devoted to each other and their children. That is what makes them a strong couple. I like the fact that Kendall is not a stepford wife and Zach is not a Ryan. They are truly a "dynamic duo" and should be written that way. If only the new head writer would recognize the potential these two actors/characters have to elevate AMC in the ratings.
The Tad/Jesse conversation was plot driven to pin point Annie as a potential suspect in Richie's death, but I did enjoy their conversation while playing video games.
