Okie dokie Pine Valleyites.... as some one who grew up in tornado alley (and presently lives here) I'm gonna give you a few tips:
1. As Lil' Jon says.... "Get Low". Put your ass in the air like you just don't care. This is not a time to worry if "crack kills". Just get 'r done.
2. Hug your toilets. If you've ever seen a building almost wiped clean by a tornado, than you know what I'm talking about. The porcelain thrones are most often the only thing to remain.
3. Take a beverage. If you think the world is going to end, you might as well grab that dusty bottle of Wild Turkey from the top shelf and drink away. The alcohol and loud sirens should remind you of your wild clubbing days, when you'd drive fifty miles for no cover and penny longnecks.
Now getting drunk during a tornado serves two purposes: First, if you're goin' out, you might as well go out with a bang. Second, if the tornado does happen to pick your ass up and then drop you from the sky a mile away from your home, it won't hurt as much. Drunk people have been known to survive ridiculous falls simply because they were so relaxed when the hit the ground.
And if the dust settles and you aren't so luck to be taken on a wind ride, well, you're already bowing to the porcelain goddess, so it's all good.
3. Grab your video cameras. If you happen to be one of the lucky ones who survives a direct hit and catches it all on tape..... well buddy, you just made yourself a pretty penny. Your girlie screams will be broadcast all over the planet. True, the majority of people will be saying, "Look at this idiot," but hey, you'll have your fifteen minutes of fame. That's more than they've got!!
Hell, you might even win a Pulitzer Prize out of it because Lavery knows they give those things to any one person who has a camera these days.
4. Lastly, remember to have fun!!! These things don't come around just everyday!!
