Title: It's all your fault, Kendall

Jules - September 3, 2008 06:08 PM (GMT)

Yep, we're back to this shit again.

Kendall's got a big mouth, no doubt about that, and she's way too involved in other people's business, no doubt about that, too.

But Annie being a psycho? Not Kendall's fault.
Ryan being in love with Greenlee? Not Kendall's fault.
Aidan being an insecure lug? Not Kendall's fault.
Greenlee unable to distance herself from Ryan? Not Kendall's fault.

AMC has found its scapegoat--again. Greenlee needs to leave town so RB can leave the show, so Kendall must be publicly humiliated. Greenlee needs to be redeemed, so Kendall's attempt to get justice for her son is written as needless revenge. Annie needs to be redeemed---wait, that's still to come. Ryan needs to tell Greenlee how he feels, so Kendall does it and Ryan's hands are clean. He respects Graidan's marriage, decent guy that he is! Kendall doesn't, but she's a popular character so she can get away with this stuff.

I'm tired of this. It's not propping at this point. It's the need for a scapegoat while other characters come across as better than they really are.

I'm ready for this next phase of Kendall/Zach's story to start because this crap is not acceptable. :denied

Eh, I'm just somewhat glad Kendall told them bitches so what?

Fuck em' all and whatnot.

I have not seen the show yet, but I kind of got the "it's all Kendall fault" theme from today's show after reading the LD. Let’s see before to long Global warming, the war in Iraq, starving children around the world and every single problem that anyone has in PV, will be "all Kendall fault"!!

I did enjoy Kendall telling off Annie. And Babe being late to her own launch party. And Kendall holding her own with Greenlee, but it's still not right.

I guess a murder happening at a perfume launch party is not a good PR move, too. Good luck with that one, Amanda and Babe!

It should be interesting to see how they maneuver their way out of that one. Not good press for Bella. Adam and Petey may not have to carry out their plan after all.

When Kendall started realizing how unhinged Annie was becoming, when she began her meddling with Ryan/Greenlee and when she was so adamant that Annie was the crazy and no one believed her, I still felt the story was headed towards vidication for Kendall. I no longer feel that way. This is a simple case of heaping shit on a character that is popular enough to handle the stink. I wouldn't rule out the possibility that AMC is playing hardball with AM showing her who is boss. It's the ole "with one keystroke we can decimate your character and don't you forget it" game. Whatever.

Maybe it's all table sitting for the big tornado story and probably is but exactly what has Kendall done wrong? Has she kidnapped anyone's baby, has she murdered anyone in cold blood? OMG she's done the unforgivable, she's meddled!

And yes Jules, everything is her fault. But what I love about this Kendall is that she is not apologizing to anyone.

You know what's pissing me off? When SID and AMC use the phrase "reality check" about Kendall, and she's the only one who has seen the crazy clearly from day 1, and she's the one who was asked to keep Ryan's secret from day 1. Yeah, she botched the latter, and I hate that she blabbed, but she knows when Ryan's been hurting, she's probably right that Greenlee loves Ryan, she knows when the crazy is lying, she knows when a perfume idea is a bad idea, and she's the one who's going to get the reality check.

Unfreakinbelievable.

Here are my two cents worth.

I am tired of hearing that everything these selfish toxic four are doing is Kendall's fault. The two lying whores, Ryan and Greenlee, are lusting after each other, the psycho killer lying manipulator Annie, is planning more havoc and everything is Kendall's fault. Kendall's only mistake is that she regards this toxic trash as friends and only wants to help. She should have heeded Zach's advice and stayed out of their miserable lives, but the writers need a scapegoat to take all the punishment and far be it from the golden children to take responsibilty for anything. Kidnapping, abuse, lies, murder and malicious mayhem are all on their daily platters.

Kendall's quote to Annie, "You did this by being jealous, desperate, hysterical and needy...not the way to keep your marriage intact and the psycho part doesn't help either". No truer words were spoke today. Unfortunately Kendall will not be given credit for being the only intuitive and smart one when all this is over.

I hope that Kendall was talking to a message machine and not Zach....not coming to the party after promising to do so and hanging up on her would not be cool in my book even though she did mention the unmentionables.

Susan , if that is what they are doing, then it is rather stupid and short sighted. While they may succeed in decimating a popular character, the audience can decimate the show. I think the ratings are already showing audience disatisfaction. Neither Graiden, Ryannie, Rylee or Take are showing any large fan bases developing on the Internet or the mags. So far the only pairing drawing positive audience attention is Zendall. IMO toying negatively with either half of this fan favorite is only going to backfire badly on the ratings and I don't think that AMC or it's headwriter can afford to do so since a 1.6 on the Graiden wedding is rather embarassing to say the least.

My advice to TPTB for what it's worth...give Zach and Kendall a decent s/l of their own without the usual contrived soap crap and you will see the ratings take an upswing.

Diva,

I never claimed they were smart. LOL

Just an observation, but based on AM's popularity at both the Fusion party on Aug. 16 and the fan club luncheon on Aug. 17, when Kendall was in fine meddling form and Zen were supporting two other couples and putting their relationship behind Greenlee's, Annie's and Ryan's needs, AM's popularity isn't taking any hits. People seem to be much, much smarter than TPTB give them credit for (no surprise), but Lavery knows, that won't stop TPTB from doing wacky shit with their scripts. (And most of these people aren't on the internet to the same extent as we are.)

In addition, if you've had a chance to check out the SID scoops and interviews which I posted on Z&K, you see how frequently the word "Kendall" pops up--in scoops for Fusion, with Zach, with Erica, and in praise for her "zaniness". AMC relies on Kendall and AM a hell of a lot, which is why this over the top dumping on Kendall baffles me, in addition to the fact that it's not working with alot of fans.

Seriously, it's amazing how it's Kendall's fault that Ryan loves Greenleech, that Greenleech told Aidan, that Aidan punched Ryan, that Ryan couldn't hide it from the Crazy, that the Crazy left Ryan . . . just amazing. I'm just waiting for it to be her fault that Colby was mistakenly spritzed with Bella, that Kathy pushed KWAK off the ladder, and that Taylor snapped Fletcher's neck like a twig. Oy ve. I'm so sick of this!!!!!!!! You guys are completely right--TPTB suck when it come to the scapegoating of Kendall!

Okay, now that that's off my chest . . .

Adam - I found him sort of deliciously evil today. He's so much fun when he's like this--whether threatening Pete or flirting with Erica.

Jabe - Gag. Their mutual propping/Amanda bashing has got to stop. Oh, and the eighties called--they want their ponytail back.

Amanda/Randi/Taylor/Jake/Frankie - Meh for the most part. Although, I must say, hallelujah to the Fletcher storyline ending! I mean, eesh, that was beyond lame and if they can use it for Taylor, that's fine with me.

Franki/Jesse - Didn't care at all about the Fletcher case. Wonder what's throwing a wrench (yeah, pun intended) into the Richie murder . . .

Erica - Why the Ryan propping again?!?!?!? ARGH!!!! Her advice to Kendall was good though, and she handled herself well with Carmen, Jack, and Adam. Why wasn't Sam there to take her to the party? Ryan propping was too important I guess.

Greenleech/Aidan/Ryan/Crazy - Ugh. That shaking hands thing was stupid. They're all annoying, bitchy, selfish, and I'm sick to death of the way they treat Kendall. She should get away from them, like, yesterday.

Kendall et al. - I hate, hate, hate that Kendall is to be blamed for everything, that Kendall feels it necessary to get involved in the lives of people that trash her at every opportunity, and that Kendall is also seemingly on her own in terms of Fusion. I also hate that there was no Zach today--not that I wanted him to be at that god-awful party, but I would have liked a Cambias scene juxtaposed with it because I'm totally having withdrawal and I'd like to know what's going on over there. Pratt's offscreen thing bugs the hell out of me. I hope Erica's words are sinking in. I can't tell what the writers are trying to do with Zen, but it does seem as though Kendall's in some kind of denial--whether just fronting to Erica or really not seeing the problems, and I hope that we get Zen on the screen together soon so we can at least figure out what's happening. I feel a bit as if the writers are having to transition Kendall out of the B&E crapola (I kinda feel like B&E had a bit of a hate on for Kendall) and now Pratt is giving her a personality readjustment--and I don't know what exactly that's going to mean. I do like that she's getting her spine back in terms of the Fusion girls, the Crazy, etc. and I did like what she said to the Crazy today in terms of its accuracy and snark (although not sure how much I really want her to poke the Crazy with a stick).

I'm hoping that Kendall was talking to the machine and not Zach. That's how it seemed to me, as if she'd been talking to the machine and then thought he'd picked up so she said "hello?" I don't want them hanging up on each other.

KWAK/Tad/Kathy - This is just getting a bit creepy for me. I mean, it's one thing to lock KWAK out of the house and steal apples, but nearly squishing the baby and lying about it . . .

GO TEAM SLATER!!!

Dianna08 - September 4, 2008 02:43 PM (GMT)
All the people involved in the sextet are adults and all (not just Kendall) are somewhat to blame for the stuff that is currently happening and all of these “adults” should take their fair share of the blame (not just Kendall). Personally I think Kendall did those idiots a favor by getting this crap out in the open. So now maybe they can deal with it and move the hell on. I am beyond bored and annoyed with this crap, so lets deal with this crap and move on. Although I doubt that will happen. JMO

The bright spot was being able to see Lish rocking that dress, she looked great!!

Ladies, differing opinions are always KO. Just keep things polite and civil and think before you post something because you never know who's reading. Hint, hint: Who's name is on top of the board?
