Title: Where I'd like to see Lish/Kendall go

I'm really tired of all the Fusion stuff and it's barely just begun. I don't want to see Kendall and Greenlee try and recreate any "magic" as they call it. I want to see a stronger story for Lish and thus a stronger story for Kendall.

I enjoyed reading the following comment from TK in the new SOD that was posted on the zachandkendall mb:

QUOTE
"He also talks about exploring Zach's nonromantic life will only enhance his popular pairing with Alicia Minshew's Kendall. "Romance alone gets boring," he opines. "Romance works best if it's an escape from something else, if you know why [the characters] need solace."

I thoroughly agree with his comment and I think it makes Zach all the more hawter in the the Zen pairing. TK's now got a very, very exciting and interesting storyline with DC (Adam) and JY (JR) coming up that I can only imagine can have ramifications in storylines for months and months, if not years. I was hoping Lish would be giving a strong story as well. IMO, it's not re-creating magic with Greenlee at Fusion.

Lish deserves better than that. She's a lead actress and should be treated as such. I don't want to see her character subservient to any characters nor do I want to see her character take a back seat to any characters.

I think it would be great if the new writers took Kendall in a different direction professionally. I'd love for her to resurrect Enchantment from the grave to rival and compete against Greenlee and Fusion. I'd love to see Kendall, a strong and in charge businesswoman all the while juggling motherhood and being a wife. I think that could be an interesting story. Mostly I just want Lish to be appreciated by the show and the writer's for the wonderful and talented actress that she is.

I agree with mostly everything you have said :) I personally would not like to see her take Enchantment, because Fusion is hers. I dont want to see Kendall pass her company over to Greenlee. I would love to just see Kendall, Annie, Babe and Di run Fusion the way it was prior to Greenlee's arrival. It was so nice seeing four women getting along and enjoying their time together :)

E I agree with everything you said. Lish does deserve her own s/l without having to constantly prop Rylee. She was doing that 2 years ago and it seems is up for that job again. Kendall/Lish deserves more then that. I personally think Kendall should get away from all things Fusion. It might even be interesting s/l if Kendall did resurrect Enchantment with Erica. The New Beginnings s/l imo is a huge Flop. It was ok on paper, but the follow through stinks. Anything is better for Kendall then the constant propping of Ryan and now Greenlee. She could even run the Casino, just anything away from the Lavery triangle.

I want her running the casino!!!! I love seeing Kendall boss around the underlings LOLOL. I wouldn't mind Fusion so much if it wasn't so airheady. yea I made up that word LOL. Fine I admit it, I just want to do my spinoff!!!! SEASONS...........,.it's my baby.

ICAM Erica! :D

I too am tired of Lish being used left and right to prop Rylee and Babe. I'd rather her have a different professional path too. Ì`d like a good story with good conflict for Kendall that does not involve her supporting half the cast.

Maybe Erica and her could open a new cosmetic company and Josh could be jealous and want to be included? And maybe throw Di in the mix too and/or Amanda? Just give Lish something decent to act!

I typically lurk, but I had to chime in on this one. I am in complete agreement that Kendall and Lish need and deserve more. Lish should be involved in storylines where Kendall continues to grow and be challenged, that does not happen when she is involved with Ryan and Greenlee. I think that as long as Kendall/Lish is relegated to storylines involving Ryan and Greenlee she will never truly have Emmy worthy material. I'm not sure what story I see her in, but I do know there are a lot of directions they could take that don't revolve around Ryan and Greenlee. Quite frankly, I don't think constantly having Ryan and Greenlee entangled with Kendall does much for those characters as well. It frustrates me that everyone is allowed to move on but Kendall. I do want her out of Fusion, because it is hard to take that place seriously when it seems like a dumping ground for characters who need a job. I was looking at some old clips in the projection room and thought how amazing would it be if Palmer left some part of Cortlandt to Kendall. They had a nice history and it would make for rich story with Cortlandt, Cambias, Chandler. Just my thoughts. Oh, love the site.

This saccharin relationship between Kendall and Greenlee to me did not make any sense in 2005 and makes even less sense now. In 2005 we had a much needier Kendall, with many hang-ups of insecurity and trust problems and in Greenlee she found an opposite to herself. …an opinionated , self confident, aggressive, self absorbed, selfish woman, whose approval Kendall sought. The link between them ironically was the man both women were in love with at the time, Ryan Lavery.

Today, Kendall has matured into a more secure loving wife and mother, while Greenlee is the needy of the two, desperately searching to get back the life she flagrantly threw away over a year ago. I do not see the need for Kendall to recapture the past of this rather strange almost abnormal relationship. Kendall is now fully aware that Greenlee only took from their so-called friendship and gave nothing in return. Greenlee betrayed that friendship and walked away from the child that Kendall had offered her as a gift and is now raising as her own with Zach. Kendall has Zach, a man she deeply loves, Spike, a child that she nearly gave up her life for and a new baby on the way. I can understand that she feels sorry for Greenlee, because Greenlee has no one, and perhaps there is some understandable feelings of guilt that she is happy in her life and Greenlee is not, but I do not regard that as enough reason to stagnate and even regress the growth and development of a character for the benefit of a returning character‘s s/l. Thus it seems ludicrous for the writers to put so much emphasis on something that didn’t make sense in the past and makes even less sense now.

IMO the writers are only contriving a situation that will eventually lead to tragedy for the sake of soap opera angst. and are totally disregarding the believability of that s/l.
