ALL MY CHILDREN's Alicia Minshew (Kendall) flexes new muscles with an online fitness program.

A REAL STRETCH

In the emotionally -- and often physically -- dangerous hamlet of Pine Valley, only the strong survive. But ALL MY CHILDREN's Alicia Minshew (Kendall) recently became the face of a fitness program designed to help the most gym-phobic of us real-world folk thrive.

"Everybody's body is different. It's just about increasing your metabolism and being strong and being strong and increasing your energy level," says the actress, who partnered with her trainer, Louis Coraggio, and PumpOne workouts to create downloadable, easy to follow exercise sessions showcased at www.PumpOne.com/alicia "I feel like it's just a chain effect. Like if you start this you'll be happier, you'll have more energy and you'll get more done. And maybe you'll be more successful in your career and maybe with your relationship, you know? It's a whole philosophy thing."

The lean leading lady's healthy way of living began early in life, as she grew up with a mother who was a personal trainer and a sister who later became a yoga instructor. As a teen, the woman who would become Kendall clipped how-to-exercise diagrams from magazines and archived them for future workouts. “There's something in my family about wanting to be healthy and fit and help people, and somehow I sort of got that in a different way,” she says. “This is my way of sharing it, I guess.”

After a day of performing various workout forms and poses for a photographer, Minshew and PumpOne packaged the images as multi-level cardio and strength workouts for iPods or similar devices. (Those without hand-held technology can view the workouts on a computer or print them out; packages range from $19 to $99.) Users can just “play their favorite music and whatever routine they want to do that day – they can choose between three different ones – they could just pop the picture up,” she says excitedly. “It gives you great instructions and you just sort of do it.”

So should AMC fans look forward to Minshew Boot Camp? She laughs. “[The PumpOne founders] have such good energy. So if they said, 'Hey will you do another program for us? Will you do another photoshoot? Will you do this?' I would do it in a heartbeat.”

Likely a well-conditioned, strong one at that.
