Title: Hart-Slater Psychology 101
Description: cause we love them

I posted my thoughts on the 11/13 episode (the z and k disagreement) on the Z and K board and I thought I'd bring them over here since its my take on Kendalls state of mind these days. Enjoy and jump on in if you have another opinion or you see something different in Kendall......

Here's what I saw.....

This whole thing for Kendall started with her, when she tried to do something selfless for Greenskeeze by having a baby for her, but having to use her own eggs. She didn't want to do it but she was afraid Greens would do herself in (shoulda let her!!!). Ever since Thanksgiving when IT threw her selfless act back in her face, Kendall has been living in fear. She wouldn't bond with Spike because she thought that IT would eventually get over her hurt feelings and come back, but when IT didn't and Kendall started actually bonding with Spike (because of Zach and the truth that he made her see) and fell in love with her son, her fear then became that she would end up losing him if and when the skeeze ever came back. I think Kendall got to a point where she thought she was safe from Greens coming back and when her and Zach made up and got married, for the first time Kendall knew she could breathe easy and have the life she always secretly wanted. Then....

Greenskeeze comes back and all that is pulled up again and it all came true when IT kidnapped Spike. The fear Kendall feels will never go away until Greenlee is gone (see Kendalls dream). Now Kendall is doing what she always does when she wants to punish herself for what she thinks is her fault (the selfless act that turned on her) she lashes out and pushes people away to beat herself up. It's the old "IM NOT WORTHY OF LOVE" thing that she feels, so she throws everything she can think of in their faces so she doesn't have to admit that she's scared to death. Zach is the love of her life and right now she doesn't feel worthy so she does everything to chase him away. It's like "SEE HOW HATEFUL I AM, NO ONE CAN LOVE THIS!!!" and she expects them to leave. That was the shocked look when Zach walked away because even tho she expected it , she didn't think he would. It was the 'OH GOD , I PUSHED TO FAR THIS TIME" look.

Now, as for Zach, he knows all this about her and he hates that she does this to herself and it makes him angry, not at her but at the situation and everyone that is responsible for her feeling like she has to punish herself. She does need to get help for this but I think Zach really wants to be the one to help her and he's the kind of man that keeps trying because he loves so deeply and wants to protect the people he loves. He wants to be the one she talks to about this stuff, but she can't because he'll try and fix it for her. It's not something you can fix, it's something you have to get out over time and live with, just like drugs or alchohol.

So, in the end, I love to see them fight because they are so passionate in everything they do and this is no exception. Do i hate the fact that the fights always have to be because of other people? Hell to the yeah~~ The writers always throw out the surface shit and never let it go deeper. I'd love to see Zach and Kendall in therapy together, not because their marriage is in trouble but because they both have issues that they brought into this individually that need to be dealt with, in my opinion, together. The shrink would say (and ohhhhhh can I play the shrink pleaaaseeee!!!! purty please!!!) Zach, you can't always save everyone, it's not possible and to Kendall, You have to stop trying to push people away that love you because you think you don't deserve it and stop letting other people make you think that.

WOW, Slater Psychology 101~~~~ LOLOLOL.

I couldn't say it better. This is classic Kendall and Zach. I just hope it doesn't take too long for them to get back together.
