Congrats to Lish and Richie! In the Jan. 8 issue of SOD, here's what she said:



Alicia Minshew got engaged to her beau of over three years, Richie Hersch, on Dec. 13. "After working a long day and doing my last scene with Sabine, I came home feeling very sad," the actress reports. "He cooked me a lovely dinner and then he asked me to check the Christmas tree to see if it needed water. I said, "Uh, okay, lazy!" I checked and saw that there was a big red bow hanging on the tree. Dangling from it was a beautiful Tiffany bracelet with a charm on it. I thought, "Cool, an early Christmas present!" Then I looked at the charm close up and saw something written on it: "Will you marry me, sweet Lish?" I was so not expecting it. I got numb and I screamed, "Richie!" Then, literally, I said, "What the f--k?" He just sat and smiled and said, "I've been waiting my whole life for you. Will you be my wife?" He pulled the ring out of a cabinet with pots and pans in it--he hid it there because he knew I would never look there, since I don't cook!--and gave me the most spectacular ring. I knew I would be happy...but I didn't realize just how happy I would be, being engaged," she beams. "I'm happier than I've ever been."

ENGAGED
All My Children's Alicia Minshew (Kendall) and long-time boyfreind Richie Herschenfeld are engaged. The pair met when Minshew's co-star Thorsten Kaye (Zach) introduced them at Prohibition after the Daytime Emmys in 2004. "I'm happy for them," smiles Kaye. "That's going to be the wedding of the year."
