"One of the first people to find out was Sabine [Singh, ex-Greenlee]. It was her last day and she was really upset, and all of a sudden she saw a ring on my finger. She looked at me and said, 'Oh, my gosh, you just took the worse day for me and made it amazing. I am so happy for you.' Then Susan [Lucci, Erica] came to see it and then the hair and makeup people. And of course I called Rebecca [Budig, Greenlee], Eden [Riegel, ex-Bianca], Cameron [Mathison, Ryan], Terri [Ivens, ex-Simone]. And I sat down with Thorsten [Kaye, Zach, who played matchmaker for the duo] and told him, 'You are partly responsible for this ring being on my finger. You have no idea how special you are to me and to Richie.' Then I had to go do a bunch of love scenes with Thorsten [laughs]. I was like, 'I just engaged to your friend -- let's go have sex!'"
