The theme of the day: secrets.

Everyone has them and eventually they will come out. Just like I had to ask why Kendall didn't tell him about Ryan from the beginning I have to ask why Zach didn't just tell her he already knew? Did he really think Greens would keep her mouth shut?

You expect your bestest friend to keep your secrets, right? eh

I continue to wait, impatiently, for better writing. I hope to see it on my TV screen one day.

Meanwhile, I like how Zach stopped Kendall's babbling. That kiss was hot and very old-school Zen, IMO.

I'd like for Aidan and Erica to stop treating Kendall as if she's a threat to herself. She's not 5 yrs. old, running around with scissors. Let's cut the crap, shall we?

I did enjoy Zach not giving a hoot if Kendall was going off on Aidan. He was happy his wife was honest with him, and that's all he cares about. As for Aidan, them's the breaks, friend-o.

Me too, Jules. Zach seemed amused that his freisty Kendall was giving Aidan the business.

Kendall looked absolutely beautiful today and Zach looked hot as usual. They are a stunning couple no matter how bad the writing gets.

I have to admit that I found the show very confusing today . The conversation between Zach and Kendall was strange. Kendall was her usual guilt ridden, apologetic self, but Zach was somehow different….distant, as if he was in another time zone. Even the kiss was not the usual Zen kiss…..I don’t know….it seemed somehow to be filled with sarcasm the way TK played it. What did he mean when he said to Kendall about wanting to be with someone else? Was he referring to Kendall and Greenlee or was he thinking of Kendall and Aiden? Why is he insisting that Aiden continue to guard Kendall, when clearly neither one of them is happy about it. Then that reference to the “hole” incident as having changed everything. Does Zach suspect that something happened between Kendall and Aiden while they were trapped in the bomb shelter?

The whole convo today IMO was filled with innuendo and foreshadowing. I wish the reveal was over, because this Siamese sextet BS is so contrived, that I just want to tune out. There is no story, only plot devices. Even the return of Amanda Beall did not improve the writing today. Angie and Jessy’s conversations are the same script over and over. I guess it will take time for the old writers to repair the damage that has been done to the show during the strike.

GB’s interference is getting more and more annoying. Ryan’s amnesia is creating more BS and making less and less sense.

I just wish that the reveal, if it is going to happen, was over, so that we can move on with that part of the story. Right now everything is just standing still and Zach and Kendall are just carrying the dead weight that can't carry a story on their own.

I realize that Kendall is still keeping secrets from Zach, but so is Zach. Why did he not tell Kendall that he already knew about her meeting with Ryan when she confessed? Why did the slutty leech have to tell her? What about the pole dancing with Greenlee? What about Kendall telling Zach about the near-rape? Just more crud being piled on by writers that really do not know their characters or just choose not to know them so that they don't need to worry about writing a character driven s/l.

Someone on the LD said we should have shut the TV off after the Zen kiss (interrupted by the twelve year old) and I agree (or at least turn the sound off and just watch the beauty that is Zen). I felt like I was back in high school (he said this and she said that yada yada yada). This has been going on for weeks and I guess even Amanda Beal can't work magic with so little. There's no story here just :bullshit .

Zach/TK did seem distant today. Not sure if it's Zach or just TK so disgusted with saying the same thing over and over. Actually Diva I think Zach thought he might be getting a private date with his wife and was pissed that he has to share his wife with the bitch (again).

What really bothers me is that after being gone why is Kendall out and about instead of home with her boys and screwing her delicious hubby (he had THE shirt on and I thought he (we) were going to get lucky).

I am so sick of Ryass I want my TV to go dark the minute he comes on my screen (include GB in that). I guess the purpose of bringing GB back was to just be everyones business because I see no other purpose.

The J/A story is also plot driven crap (how did I know the writers would ruin this couple also) and they say the same thing every day.

By the way, ZEN looked beautiful.

Things that made me go hmm...

I'm confused by this story[I'm confused by them all actually], but I'm wondering why it was necessary for the "bad men" to commit such a horrible crime as kidnapping where there could be a greater chance of getting caught and of involving more unnecessary people, when they could have just done what Adam did. Adam simply went to Tad's house. Adam managed to find Jesse in 20 minutes when they have been looking for Jesse for twenty years.

I hated seeing Adam on his knees begging Krystal for anything, even for Colby's safety. I'm over her since she chose Tad over him.

I liked Colby today. I loved her, "You don't know anything about me speech".

I'm not into the plot driven points of this story line just as much as the rest. Everything is a stereotype, the bad guys, the buddy cop heroes, the scared, but feisty wives, and the spunky kidnapped but destined to fall in love teenagers. This story needs more substance.

Zen- I would have loved to had the two of them at home, ALONE. I find it hard to believe that they'd go "out to dinner" or "out on a date" after being away from each other and away from the kids. But I'll take what I can get.

I love the way that Zach shuts Kendall up and teases her about talking too much. I caught a little glimpse of my Zendall there. I loved at Zach smiling and watching her as Kendall was telling Aidan off. I loved their look. They are a stunning couple. Zach's shirt. I love the shirt! I hope Kendall ends up wearing it before the night's over. even if it is off screen.

I liked that Ryan apologized to Zach and admitted that he over stepped more than once and was out of line. It was about time. It should have been done in private, but then again everything should be done in private with these people.

It bugged me that Kendall, Annie and Greenlee were sitting there talking about a memory from the Ryannie wedding as if Greenlee never tried to stop it or had Ryan arrested. But I guess they intend to erase Sabine's Greenlee and her actions all together. There were some things I liked about the conversation though. I liked Kendall having a happy memory about Zach and his remembering only 2 of her dresses. I liked that and all that it implied.

Waiting for the good writing that is bound to be around the corner. It was good to at least to see some of the old names back. I'm hoping.

Did I mention that I loved the Zendall kiss? I love how he shuts her up. Hopefully tomorrow's a better Zen day.

Great posts, guys! I really love it when you guys find the positives--I was a bit bogged down by the suckage today, so some of the good stuff went unnoticed, so thanks!

Zendall - I loved that they were together, that they did that whole kiss-to-shut-you-up thing, that Kendall told GB to get lost, and that Zach didn't seem to believe GB at all about the Ryass stuff. Seemed a little, tiny bit more in character. Hopefully they'll continue to be written more in-character than what's been on lately.

Didn't love that whole "GB and I in the shelter, and you and Aidone . . . stuff that will never go away" stuff. Soooooo sick of all this talk about keeping secrets, and the guilt, etc. Also didn't love the whole "wanting to be with someone else" stuff referring to GB. (I always hated it when GB was up in Zen's marriage in '05, and nothing's changed.) And when Kendall said the relationship between Zen and Graidan was "amazing," I wanted to hurl. Zen needs to go home and talk about crazy stalker/would-be rapist Walter. Why they'd even be out at Confusion right after Erica's sentencing is beyond me.

GB/Aidone - Their discussion about her eyes sparkling in response to compliments, and the kissing that went with it . . . there are no words for how repugnant that was.

Annie/Ryass - GMAFB It was so obvious that Ryass was faking it all. Kendall and Annie seem to be the only ones falling for it--probable because they're the ones who want it to be true the most; Annie wants her lame-ass husband back, and Kendall wants the problems to stop. At least Annie didn't attack Kendall, though, for the LA stuff. How much do you want to bet she would have if Ryass hadn't come up his fake memory plan?

Jesse/Angie/Tad - "Baby, please, baby. . . ." and "You can't leave me again. . . ." and "We're on the same team. . . ." are lines I never want to hear again.

Frankie/Colby - I just don't get why Frankie is such an ass to her. I just don't get it. Colby rocked it.

Adam/KWAK - Aside from the beggin thing--which was far too over-the-top for my taste--I really liked Adam today. He should be mad at Tad and Jesse. They're kinda, you know, clueless and incompetent in this situation. Yeah, okay, the voice was digitally altered, but I swear it still had that distinctive Uncle Rob southern accent.

Writers Back - I honestly didn't even notice that they were back in the credits. Most of the things happening on the show still bug me or don't make sense. They need editing help desperately. Incidentally, I wrote my final paper for my Book Editing class (which had to answer the question "What does an editor do?" in some creative kind of way) in the form of a soap . . .guess what it parodied every now and then.

If McTavish was penning the secret coming out it would be so predictible. Ryan would trip over something or find a doodle Kendall left in her day planner while he was snooping in her closet because some baby monitors were being recalled and then he'd run to tell Zach 2.71 seconds after Kendall was rushed to the hospital emergency room after being stabbed followed by 27 scenes after Kendall regains consciousness in which Kendall would have a chance to tell Zach but not go through with it and then maybe Ryan would be really helpful and try to re-enact grief sex at a big party. He'd then tell Zach that what he decides to do with the knowledge of the grief sex is up to him he was just being a really good friend and supportive. Zach can properly thank him afterwards and maybe ask him to move in so Ryan could be responsible to keep him away from Kendall.

Oh, Megan McTavish, I miss your predictable brand of hackery. At least there were doodles and tripping over electrical cords to amuse me.

ina, that sounds spot on but you forgot to add in the Random Female Interloper in there for Zach. In the midst off all that Zach finds out that Julia Dixie Greenlee is being chased by some dude named The Dragon The Unicorn who stole her bebe Kate Carl and DUN DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUN! Captain Save-A-Ho is on the job! He'll proceed to take care of Greenlee's paper cut after she gets shot and she'll hump his leg and will try to sleep with with every other day. The big climax will have Zach doing all the work but then some other dude will randomly be thrown in there and he'll be given the credit for saving the ho.

I imagine Zach would destroy his office at least once and Ryan would declare his love at least 5 times somewhere in there as well.

And Lefty would still be in his Rubbermaid in the closet in Mexico.

the show was all downhill after the Zen kiss, and Kendall's apparent annoyance at Greens, which I loved btw......I think Zach's reference to being with others is about Greenlee-kissing Ryan-unresolved feelings...I don't think it has to do with Zen....I was amused at Zach, giving Kendall the eye, while she gave Aidan his what fors.....and mostly, I'm just glad AM made an appearance.....

oh, I also loved the comment of Zach only remembering two of Kendall's dresses......that was great.....

I bet you that he's already learned how to light a match while he was offscreen in Mexico. He probably learned it the day he came home after his 271 surgeries while his Dad was in the hole with the patron saint of stealing babies and driving them off cliffs.

Des, I'd take a storyline of Julia dressed in a bird dress interloping with Zach and Kendall. At least she was a fun interloper and Kendall was allowed to BTA. Julia also wore bird dresses and that was fun. Captain-Save-a-Ho could save her from her own fashion faux pas.

I just realized that Kendall got to go all BTA after Julia said that Kendall wished Zach had his lips on her but she didn't get to do that to the woman who almost got both her children killed. AMC, why do you give me a headache?

I love how I only talk of imaginary and past events on AMC. But I'll stop doing that now.

Dude, Z even got to toss Julia out on her ass. Real!Zach knew when to part with his purses. :(
