Title: I am woman hear me ROAR
Jermetria - March 26, 2008 06:22 PM (GMT)
That was a cute Kendall moment. I loved the fact that she told Zach that he didn't have to coddle her, she could take the good with the bad and then she wanted to be held. Another funny moment was her comment about the only thing bigger than Erica Kane being MIA would be someone coming back from the dead; cut to Jangie around the corner. Now if only they'd shared a scene with them!!
I'm confused as to the purpose Aidan and Greenlee served at PVPD today. They had their own issues that needed to be taken care of. Aidan walked away from Greenlee because he was pissed at her for kissing Ryan. Why weren't they at home discussing that?
Furthermore, where was Josh? Josh should have been with his family at the police station. Kendall is making speeches about how Erica holds her family together and how she doesn't think they will survive without her and yet the only other sibling she has in town isn't there. Did anyone even bother to call Binx to let her know that her mother was on the lam?

I loved that scene, too, J, but I have to admit that at first, I thought this was going to be yet another scene between Zen where one talks to the other about honesty and keeping secrets (that's how jaded I've become, thanks to B&E), so I missed the humor of it until I caught how TK was playing the scene, with just a hint of a smile, and then AM delivered the punchline perfectly with Kendall's request to be held. Oh, it was classic Zen.
I loved every single second of Kendall's press conference. I loved Zen being together in shot after shot of the press conference. I loved her confidence for 95% of it (until her voice started to crack and Zach held her), I loved that she surprised Zach by appealing directly to Erica's kidnapper, and I loved her appreciation for Erica.
I was surprised that best galpal Opal didn't know about Erica being missing. She'd heard about Tad's involvement with the bad guys, but she didn't hear about Erica?
There's no legitimate reason for Josh not to be seen or even mentioned today. None.
And I'm in love with David Rashe. Best villain AMC has had in a long time. For me, Robert is a character I love to hate, or rather, love to get to know better. The Gardners have history on AMC, and I'm glad that Robert doesn't have a terminal illness so that I'm forced to feel sorry for him. I'm not sure how long Uncle Rob will be on the show, but he's working for me.

I totally agree. It seems that Greenlee has to be literally glued to Zach and Kendall wherever they are. I am surprised she didn't walk into their bedroom yesterday, asking if they made "real love" as she did at Confusion when they kissed. She is like a gnat that you just want to swat away. I think it is just a problem that many shows have with returnees. They just don't know where to put them, because their story no longer fits in the existing characters' lives. Everyone has moved on. That is why Greenlee's character gives the impression of having a lack of maturity. It appears that her emotional development has stagnated and everyone around her has to be regressed to make her fit in....thus we have to deal with Ryan's amnesia to incorporate Greenlee into a life that existed four years ago.
A similar thing happened on General Hospital with Robert Scorpio and Anna Lavery. They were my favorite soap couple before Zendall and I was overjoyed to have them return. However, when they brought them back, they couldn't fit them anywhere in the existing s/l and they became just awkward cameos.
Aiden had walked out of Fusion upset that Greenlee had interfered with Ryan's handeling of his amnesia. They should have been at the condo dealing with that issue instead of stalking Zach and Kendall at the police station. Josh was the person closest to Erica besides Kendall who should have been there taking part in whatever plans were being made to find her. I really miss Josh. He fits so perfectly into the Slater/Kane family orbit. Greenlee does not.
It was great to see Zach so supportive and affectionate as Kendall pleaded for her mother's release. We had all the usual Zen touches to show how concerned he is about his wife's mental state. Here in New York we were interrupted by a special report, which premempted some of the conversation between Kendall and Greenlee after her appeal to Carmen, however from what I got from the LD, Kendall fretted about all the bad things that have happened to them including Spike and Ian's crises and now her mother is missing and then added that, "nothing else will be taken from us." She forgot to mention that the reason for the dark cloud hanging over their heads was standing right next to her.... one more attempt at whitewashing by the writers and a foreshadowing of things to come.

I loved Kendall today. She definitely put on a brave front and showed her strong Kane women genes today. But I too want to know where Josh was. He needed to be there, at the very least, have an excuse made on his behalf as if he is on the way, much like they did for Jackson.
And David Rasche is fantastic and I'm very curious as to what his story upcoming is.
ETA: Did my ears deceive me or did I actually hear Greenlee say that she knows Erica better than anyone? :implode

I also kept wondering where Josh was. Not only wasn't he there to bid Erica goodbye when Kendall & Zach did, but now he's not there when she is missing, after an accident? No way, no how. He would be there for Kendall if nothing else, though he certainly cares about his mother as well. He didn't even get mentioned.
It's always fascinating to see how close Zach & Kendall can be when they are together. I'm not talking about the various touches and looks we get, but their literal proximity to the other. Zach always stands thisclose to her for support. Those little things are very noticeable and reflect their connection, no matter who or what is around them. I also liked how much the focus was on Kendall during the press conference. She definitely was a strong Kane woman today.
Greenlee and Aidan were useless. They added nothing to any of the scenes. But I do feel so much better that Aidan's men are on the case.
I heard what you did, Cheryl - Greenlee said she knows Erica better than anybody. Huh? Really? I must have missed that show. I'm surprised Kendall's eyes didn't roll back in her head over that one.
The Jesse story lost me a while ago, and now I can't believe that they are all just hunkie dorie and living free after one little shootout. After 20 years, and one guy dead, it's all over? Even I can see that it's too convenient, and I'm not the PI or former detective.

I must have missed it. I get tired of people using that damn line when they don't know shit! She doesn't know bupkis about Erica. She doesn't even like the woman. All I ask the writers is to learn the history of their characters before they write BS.
ETA: I googled the meaning of bupkis and found out it means goat shit. LOL

I learned something to day!! :yay

Bupkis! LOL I love that word. We might need a smilie for that ladies.
My cable's been out all day so I'm just now watching the 1am SoapNet version.
I don't have much to add to what everyone else has said. I loved Zendall today and how their closeness was apparent during that entire scene at the police station.
AMC ought to be embarrassed that they "forgot" Josh. The lack of continuity these past two weeks has been appalling. It is supposed to be the same day as Erica's hearing still right? Josh was there front and center. I can't believe that no one thought to call him. He should have been there, not Greenlee and Aidan.
I don't get why they were there either. It was clear, like everyone said, they didn't belong. If this is the writers way of showing how Greenlee supports The Slaters, then they fail miserably. Support has to be more than just physically being in the same room, putting your foot in your mouth and interrupting intimate moments between husband and wife. We need to believe it, and the sincerity just isn't there from Greenlee or Aidan, so we don't.
I would have hated it, but I would have believed Annie and Ryan2004 there over Greenlee. She needs her own story line ASAP. Unfortunately, the writers have written her into corner, by not giving her any ties to Pine Valley except Jackson, who doesn't count because they only write for him with Erica.
I think of that Sabine/Greenlee day when she was eating dinner at the Valley Inn by herself. Greenlee has as much purpose on the show right now as Julia Santos did, pre-Kathy/Kate.
To end on a good note, I loved Kendall during the press conference as well with Zach standing by her side. I loved that he was shown on camera too, leaving no doubt that they are a strong team in a crisis.
