Title: Like mother, like daughter.

Kendall: I can't get over this. Why wouldn't she want us to know where she was?
Zach: It's your mother. When she gets something in her head, don't get in her way.
Kendall: Doesn't sound like anyone we know, does it?
Zach: No. Not at all.I've really missed the little lighthearted conversations between the two of them. Glad to see they were back.
The Opal and Richie tarot reading was just fabulous. I fear that Richie may not be long for Pine Valley, though.
I loved the scene with JY and DC when JR asked Adam to believe in him. Good stuff.

Yes, yes and a thousand times yes! I love that Kendall can make fun of herself, and Zach sees it so easily. They're so great together.
Shallow first: Pretty Zen by the piano, hot Zen kissing on the sofa.
Deeper now: I'm glad that Kendall put aside her worrying about Ryan to concentrate on more important matters like Erica. I loved that Zach didn't retreat to his corner and act passive aggressively. He wanted to talk. He wanted her to react to him in some way, and I give him credit for that, and I give her credit for wanting to put it behind them for now and focus on Erica.
I loved that they were on the phone with Erica. The Slaters make a nice team.
I trust in their relationship, and I'm hopeful that AMC does, too.
BTW, this was the 2nd straight episode where Zen have been featured where they weren't interrupted by the kids from Beverly Hills High with their lovelife problems. We're moving forward, folks. Slowly but surely.

I thought that the writing has improved. My major problem was that there were just too many characters on one show today and too many stories that are not connected. It would have been enough with half the characters. When there are so many, there is not enough time devoted to conversations that delve more deeply into the characters' motivations and psyche.
I loved the convo between Zach and Kendall. I was glad to see Kate Hall's name in the opening credits.
It was nice to see that both Zach and Kendall kept their attention on Erica and that their previous disagreement about Ryan did not detract from the importance what most affects their family. I'm glad that Zach did not apologize for having shown Ryan his abusive past and Kendall seemed less upset and even able to see humor in her own behavior. At least they are able to work as a team when it affects members of their immediate family. Ryan IMO is only family by extention.
The fact that we are finally seeing them alone dealing with their own family relationship problems, without the presence of the toxic four, makes them so much more real and in character. I hope it continues.

*pets Billy* :(
Zen minus the children from the playground having normal convos is always good.

I love Kate Hall and today she didn't disappoint. I do agree with Diva that there was too much going on today and as soon as you got into one segment you were on to the next but I have to admit that all the stories were somehow connected and the writing was good all around.
I love Zen. Now this is the Zach and Kendall we know and love. From Zach getting Kendall out of her mad mood to her joking about herself to him hugging her by the piano (be still my heart) to that AMAZING KISS. Also loved them concentrating on Erica not on Ryass. I also loved that the 90210 bunch didn't come to their door (let them figure out their own problems).
Today made it crystal clear that GB doesn't give a damn about Aidass and she is still totally hung up on Ryass. Who the hell answers their phone when the man you love is proposing? I guess when God calls you must answer.
I loved what Annie said to Ryass and my heart broke for Emma. Emma deserves a father who loves her and Ryass is too self centered to care about anyone but himself. Emma should have been his main concern from day one instead of chasing Kendall around. Even if he didn't remember her how could you look at that face and just walk away.
Loved Opal with Ritchie and how it fit in with JR and also Zach.
I'm still disappointed that Josh has not been seen especially with Erica missing and I think they should have kept Jonathan at least until this amnesia story was over because it seems stupid that Ryass can't remember anything and his brother's not around to help fill in the blanks.
Tomorrow looks good guys.

I liked today's show. I didn't have a problem with the amount of stories being told today. They all made sense. The breakdown of the show is old school soap opera story telling. Back in the Agnes days, AMC told stories just like this. The entire cast is being used more. They haven't done that in so long, that it's hard to get used to again. When the stories are being told like this viewers are more liking to stick around and want to tune in everyday because no one character is on screen so much that you are just sick of them. I hope, hope, hope AMC is finally learning from their mistakes.
I didn't have to fast forward any scenes today[okay, I'll admit it. I did forward Green/Aidan and Ryan at Erin's grave, but only because I don't like them, not because the writing wasn't good]. That to me is a big plus for AMC. Huge, plus for AMC.
Carmen/Erica...I really love them. They are so good together. The main thing I got from that scene was proof that two women can actually have an intelligent conversation with each other, without cherry mojitos, mis trust and ulterior motives. I love that their relationship doesn't seem forced and Carmen/Erica[Cerica?LOL] actually seem like they could be real friends.[Hint, hint..Kendall/Greenlee?]
"Carmen Morales and Erica Kane...It's like Thelma and Louise without the convertible". I loved that line.
I liked JR/Adam/Babe...I loved it when JR made Adam realize that he should have believed in him. That was good.
Opal/Richie...Damn. It's a shame that Opal and Richie weren't paired together before now. It is definitely too late to redeem him, but wouldn't it have been nice if Opal was the one who made him want to try and not Babe?
"Well if it's hot in here, embrace it. It's good for your pores."...I love Opal!
Side note: with Opal figuring out Richie and him flashing back to what he did to Zach and to JR, does anyone think a murder mystery surrounding his death might be a good way to write him out? Think of all the suspects: JR, Zach, Kendall, Babe, Aidan, Greenlee, Annie, Ryan, Adam...? The list just grows.
Always saving the best for last:
Zach and Kendall: I loved that Zach seemed anxious to not have her stay mad at him. It looked like it was upsetting him that she might just sit around and stew. I loved that they hugged and he reassured her again about Erica. I loved that when Erica called, she was really calling both of them. I loved that Erica told them as much as she could about what she was doing and said that she was in the Chicago area. I loved that Zach didn't hesitate to say that he would come and get her. I loved that Zendall kissed and seemed to put their differences aside for now. I loved the kiss and the "trust us" at the end, but hate that it seemed like it was thrown in only for it to be thrown back into Kendall's face if and when a certain secret comes out.
Much improved show. I'm sending a thank you card to Kate Hall for today. Will I ,someday, be proud to tell people I still watch All My Children? It looks that way. I hope I'm not proven wrong.

Plus? Carmen totally hasn't kidnapped Josh and taken him off a cliff and made him deaf!
Oh, excuse me. That was a mutation.

I really enjoyed today's Zendall scenes. So realistic after an argument to try and ignore your opponent. Zach pushing for any kind of response so they could move forward, and Kendall finally giving in by saying she didn't want to argue any more, Zach saying he didn't want to argue at all.
Loved their interaction during and after Erica's phone call. I also wish that Josh was at least mentioned by Erica or Kendall to keep him informed.
The kiss was really hawt!! I just wish they would put there thumbs somewhere else other than right in front of their lips.
Once again AM and TK make me forget I'm watching make believe.
