That was the best part of the show today, Jesse retailing the tales of his best friend to her namesake on her first birthday. Wonderful use of flashbacks and didn't feel too much like filler. It was great to give newcomers some history to the show. I know I enjoyed it as I didn't watch AMC regularly back then.
And OMG... MEK back in the day!!
Erica has by far the best line of the episode:
"I wasn't born rich or famous. Fabulous? Yes. But not rich."

I agree. The flashback were great for people like myself who did not watch the show before 2005.
I was surprised to see Kendall at the very end of the show. Looking forward to her conversation with Erica tomorrow.
I was not happy to see Zach leaving Kendall after their wonderful conversation to meet with Greenlee at Confusion. I don't like Zach being at her beck and call. Where does she have the gall to call her friend's husband to meet her at a bar to discuss her love affair problems? I guess I keep forgetting this is self-absorbed No One Else Matters Greenlee.
The lingering shadows of the ”hole” are still with us and the crap fest continued today. After getting over my WTF moment of having to watch a continuation of the ridiculous BFF BS of Zach with GB, I tried to look at their conversation for it’s content and not for the writer’s agenda. Zach has GB pegged for her inability to think of anyone except herself and her needs. She wants someone to take to bed, not to love and commit to. That is why he is questioning her love for Aiden. He doesn’t believe her giving up on Ryan, neither do I. She always wants someone she can’t have or someone that belongs to someone else. Aiden has told her that he wants to wait to get married and now she is desperately pursuing him. Once the challenge is over, so is her interest.
I did like Zach’s questioning GB’s love for Aiden and whether she would be able to forgive Aiden for anything. Ouch!!!! Big anvil. I also like the fact that she recognized the strength of the love that Zach and Kendall have for each other and wants something like it. What she doesn’t understand is that type of relationship comes from self-sacrificing, forgiving, unselfish, unconditional love, something an ego-centric Greenlee knows nothing about. I don't wish her on any man.
