Tad's apology to Zach and his gratitude for saving Jake, even over the phone, was good to hear. I hope that at some point he will express his gratitude and apology in person to both Zach and Kendall for being a total ass. I do like Zach/Tad interactions, when Tad is not being his sanctimonious hypocritical self. TK and MEK work well together. Tad owes Zach a lot more then just for saving Jake. I wonder how long Tad will keep secret his knowledge of knowing that Zach knows about K/A?
Very little Zen to speek of. However whatever we got was appreciated. I think that Zach is still not comfortable with Aiden. Kendall's look as she embraced Zach indicated that she is still worried about Zach's frame of mind.
Jake being married was a surprise. I think they are re-writing the character. I hope for the better. Jake was always a very blah character. I didn't like or dislike him. I think that RPG is playing him differently and developing his own Jake. So far he is keeping my interest.
I am getting tired of Adam/Dixie. That s/l is just not moving forward at all. All they are doing is changing location and the dialog is stagnating.
Graiden....meh. She's going to kick him to the curb as soon as she learns about the ONS. Greenlee has no staying power in her relationships. She has no understanding of forgiveness or unconditional love. She knows how to take, but not to give. We saw how forgiving she was with Kendall when Kendall offered her the most exceptional gift of all....a child. She will just jump to the next available male......Ryan, Jake or whoever.
I'm happy too that Tad apologized to Zach for what he said. It was good to hear at least. It just again shows how Zach and Kendall are always misunderstood and unfairly judged. I still think the two of them could be friends.
My Zendall, even in the background of a scene, my eyes are always on them. I love that as soon as Aidan and Greenlee embraced, Kendall moved to closer to Zach. I love that his eyes were on her as Aidan told his story.
I liked that she thanked him and hugged him and said I love you. I loved Zach's smile as she said it.
I ultimately liked their closeness to each other, how they were always touching.
I liked that they left to go home before the rest of them. I don't know why, but I did.

Actually, Jake was engaged to be married to Carol (Carolyn) his last appearance in Pine Valley. Here's the bio from SoapCentral.
| QUOTE |
| Four months after fleeing town, Jake returned for a visit. He called Mia and asked if they could talk over dinner. Mia misread his signals and raced over to the Martin home, running into Jake...and his brand-new fiancée, Carolyn. He had met fellow doctor Carolyn while in Kenya for the Borders program. She wanted a marriage and children, so he proposed. Although Jake wished Mia well, he also put most of the blame for their breakup on her shoulders and claimed she drove him to have an affair. Devastated once again, Mia ran out of the house. Tad chewed his brother out and begged him not to put another woman through the wringer, but Jake insisted he was doing the right thing. Ruth and Joe were happy for him and hoped he would stay, but Jake was convinced all of the old ghosts tracking him around Pine Valley would do his new relationship great harm. He and Carolyn said their goodbyes and returned to Kenya that very night, after promising to invite Ruth and Joe to their wedding. |
Thanks Cheryl for the update.
Zen was beautiful, true, but I didn't enjoy some of that extra WTFness that was going on. . . .
-Why did Kendall have to hug 2x4? Was that really necessary?
-And when DFS was like "Here's to you," and Kendall was all, "Oh no, you were the rock. You never gave up." Man, that made me really mad--it's like the writers are saying that DFS is better than Kendall because she didn't give up on 2x4 (when he was gone for a minute and a half) while Kendall did give up on Zach (although I don't think she gave up--rather she was browbeaten into submission after a month of torture and abuse from all sides). AM must cringe sometimes with the stuff they give her to say. Anyway, what the hell?!?!
-It just really pisses me off that the writers are trying to equate Graidone with Zen. Do those idiots actually think that'll work? When Graidone do anything Zen, all it does in give my gag reflex a workout. What is wrong with them ?!?!
-And yeah, there were a few times when I thought that the look on Zach's face was less than thrilled. He had to toast 2x4. TK delivers those type of lines with such grace--the looks on his face and his intonation scream double entendre. But, seriously, toasting 2x4? Why, oh why?!?! UGH.
-Tad's apology had me laughing out loud. I was happy about it to some extent. Shocked, of course, but happy that there was some acknowledgment of his own idiotic behavior. Did anyone else think it was funny that Tad promised not to tell that Zach knows? So now, Tad knows, and Tad knows that Zach knows, and Zen knows that Tad knows, and Tad knows that Zen knows he knows. . . . and still, 2x4 and DFS are in the dark.
As for the rest of the show . . .
-DFS and Ryass are so getting back together that it's not even funny. They could have gone a little more subtle with those two. Whatever.
-Annie's a psycho. And Amanda looked great and all (I wish I had her abs), but she needs a better storyline than giving Annie seduction lessons.
-Adam and Dixie are just recycling the same convo day after day, and it's getting really old. DC is great, but CM's been disappointing. I liked him calling her out on her sins, but seriously, I'm bored.
-The Comeback is the dullest place on earth. Everything that went on there today was pointless. Cass and Frankie are okay and all, but pointless. Jesse came in handy since Tad was too stupid to pick up the phone, but talking to KWAK was just filler. Creepy Uncle Rob is boring me to tears. Little A just stole that elephant--that's not cute.
-Angie was hilarious with Jake. Jake's really acting like an ass. Can't really commit to an opinion on him yet. I didn't realize he was married--I knew he was engaged when he left town last time (he was engaged to Mia, cheated on her, left, came back for two minutes, announced he was engaged to someone else, and then left again, right?), but didn't realize that he got hitched. --So I guess it's not technically a rewrite if he got married off-screen, huh? Who knows. If he is married, then where is his wife? Africa? You'd think she'd have called the rest of the Martins when Jake was kidnapped if she knew . . . Oh yeah, and it was kinda a shock to me to find out that Jeff was over there too. I thought he was hanging with Brooke in the Martin attic or something. At least the writers are tying up a few of those loose ends.
GO TEAM SLATER!!!
