Title: Another day in PV
Cheryl - May 15, 2008 07:34 PM (GMT)
Kendall was the good friend today, listening to Greenlee yammering on about why she didn't want to be a mother. Didn't Kendall listen to all this crap three years ago? Except then it was Greenlee yammering on about how she needed to be a mother.
I guess watching your husband drive off a cliff and then kidnapping your BFF's kid and driving him off a cliff helps to put things into perspective.
Whatever.
Greenlee admitted that she "took off with Spike". Damn if that didn't sound like she drove him to the park and fed him lots of sugar without permission, as opposed to running away with him and telling him that "you're mine now... my little boy."
Again..... whatever.
I don't have anything nice to say about this Kenlee crap so I'll move on.
The Cassie and Jesse scenes were very nice and real. I especially enjoyed the fact Cassie shared with him that she had noticed a change in her mother.... very much so for the better. She has every right to be disappointed that her parents are no longer together, but the fact the writers made her mature enough to recognize her mother's happiness was great.
I also enjoyed Jesse asking Cassie what growing up with Frankie was like. It's nice to have a perspective from someone else besides Angie.
I'm glad they talked everything out and it looks like the Hubbards will be a great family to watch in the future.
Adam and Dixie. Wow. Did David Canary knock those scenes out of the park or what? Simply a fantastic performance.
The male bonding scenes between Aidan and Tad were also nice but it made me long for the days of Zach and Josh.
Babe dressing up as a hooker? Too many jokes and not enough time.
Last, but not least, Amanda. When she said to Babe, "Dr. Dillon is in. Tell me all your problems." I thought... 'Why can't she be saying that to Josh?" Ugh. I'm afraid I may never get my Ametus. :(

So true Cheryl! Great post. While a little self-awareness and admitting it on Greenlee's part was nice to hear, it was waaaaaaay too little too late for me. Every time it's brought up so casually, I find my self getting frustrated with this story line all over again.
I remember it happening very differently than today's show obviously wants me to. The images of Greenlee saying "You're mine now...my little boy" and "that baby should have been mine" don't go away as neatly and easily for this viewer as TPTB would like, and no amount of convincing dialog is going to make me think otherwise.
AMC can't have it both ways. They want to address it, probably to counter the white washing theories, but only on their terms. Either never ever mention it again, or have the courage to allow Kendall, Zach and the viewers to have a realistic reaction every time it's brought up. It's unrealistic otherwise. The thought of Greenlee being around Spike makes me uneasy. To have his mother, Kendall to coddle Greenlee while she works through her motherhood issues is all kinds of wrong. She should be spending time with Ryan's shrink to figure out why her obsession with Ryan and his child forced her to make some dangerous damaging choices.
I have nothing good to say about Kendall/Greenlee either so I should just stop now. LOL

Could I possibly hate DFS any more than I already do? I always think the answer to that is a resounding "NO!!!!" And then she opens her mouth again. Those scenes at Fusion made me sooooooooooo mad. I mean, seriously, after everything she's done, now is when they decide there's to be no kids for her??? And poor Kendall had to sit there and listen to that drivel, and then support her??? ARGH!!!!!!!!!! AM deserves soooooooooooooooo much better than this. I know she's friends with RB, and I suppose that helps when doing those god-awful scenes, but still . . . . Free Kendall!!!
Adam was excellent. Hate Dixie. Did anyone else think it was really cruel on her part to be laughing while JR and Colby suffered? (And good lord, she really needs to stop cackling!!!)
Jesse was good. He and Cass have a good dynamic in the works. Creepy Uncle Rob and his harebrained schemes need to go.
Babe the whore. How is that different from any other day again? Amanda was great--I too was thinking about her playing Dr. Dillon with Josh! Why don't those two ever get paired up???
Why did Tad mention that reporter's name so many times? It seemed like it would need to be significant, because he kept saying "Madeline Wilson" over and over again. Then we find out she's dead? Huh? 2x4 is just so lame. Notice how neither he nor DFS are convincing when they talk up their oh-so-great, all-encompassing love for each other. Just a load of BS.
GO TEAM SLATER!!!
Preview - Ryass sure had a guilty look on his face when he was talking to Kendall. Why does he always have to drag her into his problems? Sigh.

Why are we getting Kenlee scenes and rendall scenes? Instead of having ryan tell kendall that he doesn't remember annie, why can't we have a nice moment with zach and kendall?
I know we got zach and kendall at the prison, but I'm seriously getting zendall withdrawals of them not being in the house and just talking about what happened.
Zach says he moved on, but we never really got to see how he moved on from the truth. We never saw him actually tell kendall that he forgives. he did say in front of erica, but I'm talking about just between the two of them.

ITA with you howru. I can't stand these useless Kenlee and Rendall scenes. Why is Ryan loading his screwed up feelings with Annie on Kendall? Today Greenlee is blaming Kendall for telling her that she should be up front with Aiden about not wanting children. However, while Greenlee is telling Kendall that she probably lost Aiden by telling him she doesn't want children, she did not seem upset at all. So much for a great Graiden love story. Sure does not match up with the emotion we saw while Aiden was rescuing Jake.
Also, doesn't Greenlee have claustrophobia in an elevator? Today she purposely stopped the elevator for contemplation about Aiden. I guess she is claustrophobic only when Zach is around to comfort her. Lame writing.
I did like that Kendall told Greenlee that Zach has taught her that truth is the only answer and that lies and secrets can ruin a relationship. I also want to see more scenes between Zach and Kendall dealing with the healing.
I did like Adam and Tad today. These two actors are wonderful together no matter how bad the writing. It does look like Tad is beginning to believe that Adam is seeing something.
Angie/Jesse story is beginning to move forward, but still too slow for me.

Yeah, I'm so going through Zach/Zen withdrawal that it's not even funny. Sigh. Loved the voiceover in the preview though.
Kendall/Ryass/DFS/DFS2 - Why does poor Kendall have to put up with these losers? I'd be scarfing doughnuts too--and I don't even like doughnuts! The doughnuts actually reminded me of the beignets--which I do like, but the way--that Zach brought her right after she had Ian, and just reminded me how lame her relationship is w/DFS (empty calories) and how beautiful and profound w/Zach (exquisite deliciousness).
Ryass actually didn't bug me with Kendall today; he wasn't stalkery, and just talked to her like a friend. When DFS2 showed up, it was kinda awkward, what with DFS2's new-found psycho tude and all, but I hope even she saw that Kendall was trying to be encouraging to both of them.
DFS is just an annoying, needy user and I HATE her. She blames Kendall for everything and then comes to her to fix it. I did think it was funny that they talked about their old relationships--Scott Chandler and Anton Lang mentions! Whoa, now that was a long time ago. I can't remember much about Anton . . . I think I was like twelve or something when he was on (with SMG Kendall), but I remember that he was hot.
Kendall did look stunning. I wish she could have been spending time with worthwhile people though. Zach, Josh, Myrtle, Erica . . . sigh.
Adam/Tad/Dixie/Jake - Love Adam. Feel sorry for him too. Tad was actually tolerable, and I like him better that way than all holier-than-thou hypocrite. Dixie, well, she wasn't as obnoxious as she has been lately. Jake was okay. Nice to see Ruth. Why didn't JR and Colby see Adam?
Creepy Uncle Rob/Cassandra/Jesse/Angie - Um, CUR (I'm getting tired of writing out Creepy Uncle Rob) is ridiculous and needs to go. Hope Jesse finds that origami bird soon. Angie is oblivious (because Cass was weird), and needs to stop taking fashion advice from KWAK.
I hope Zach's back soon!!!!!!!!
