Title: Whatsa Matta You?

Jermetria - May 21, 2008 07:34 PM (GMT)
Soooo...Greens knows the truth now. I have to say that their timing on this sucked. But the wedding was beautiful.

Cheryl - May 21, 2008 07:51 PM (GMT)
Seriously? Why did Greenlee need to go to that wedding? Sure, Angie saved your life. Big deal. She's a doctor, that's her job. Do you think she called up medical records and requested a list compiled of people who's lives she saved? Would she invite all of them to the wedding?

Does Greenlee really think she would have been missed had she not attended? Would everyone have been going... "Where's Greenlee?" Probably not.

But no. She had to go and sit and snivel and have a sour look upon her face throughout the entire wedding ceremony. I have never once wished for an OLTL crossover so badly so Aaaahdriannnah could have walked up to her and knocked her shit out in front of God and everyone.

KO... rant done.

Jesse and Angie were absolutely wonderful. Their vows were lovely. Their ad libs were beautiful. Their tears were heartfelt. Everyone there (except the Bidget) were happy to be there and happy for them. They most certainly deserved a fairy tale ending (or beginning depending upon how you look at it).

Kudos to Joanna Cohen for writing another fabulous script.

You know Greens dawg. She can't leave the attention whore home for a day.

I loved today's show. Angie and Jesse's Wedding is one of the most beautiful soap weddings I have seen. Great job AMC. Of course Zen's wedding aboard Erica's yacht still takes the trophy in my book. That to me it is the most romantic wedding of all time. It's the couple and the love and commitment to each other that makes a wedding memorable, not only the pomp and circumstance.

Today we saw both.... love, commitment and the beauty of the words expressed in the vows.

Zach and Kendall were so beautiful together. The love and affection they have for each other is expressed in every look and touch. Zach telling Kendall that he was married to her in his heart even before they met.....always, only you.. was a reafirmation that theirs is a bond forever.

Sorry, but I feel no sympathy for Greenlee. I just don't. Her ego centric self love has brought nothing but misery to Kendall and her family. This character has been in our faces interfering in Zen's life like a clinging parasite, nearly causing the death of their children, never paying for anything....well maybe now she will get a taste of some misery long overdue. That is of course if she is even capable of feeling misery. All she knows is how to make everyone else's life miserable, especially Kendall's and I am sure that poor Kendall will again feel her wrath.

Aiden and Jack are both dead to me as hypocritical abusive men. Their behavior towards Kendall today, who is so sincerely trying to help the woman she believes to be her best friend, was disgusting. Both have been thrown under the GB bus and are beyond redemption IMO. I hope that Erica learns about Jack telling Greenlee that Kendall betrayed her, after she told him that it was a mistake caused by extreme grief. I hope she never reunites with him again. Erica deserves so much better.

I'm thinking that's exactly why she attended. Because no one would miss her if she stayed away. It's difficult to declare yourself the center of the universe and then have no one around to bask in your wonderfulness. It wasn't about the event, or the people, it was about how to make someone else's day all about herself. The pity party never ends.

Yay for Jesse and Angie, though. That was gorgeous from top to bottom, every bit of it.In spite of Greenlee and her nonsense. Time has been so kind to both of them, in every way possible.

Zenfan58 - May 21, 2008 09:16 PM (GMT)
Greenlee was about the only one who didn't belong there. You could tell from the moment she walked into Casa Slater that it was all about her, why she was going. She didn't want to go 'stag', and yet she wanted to be 'independent'. Huh? Figure your own mess out away from the pretty of Zen or that fab wedding. She wanted to be there because she could, not because she gave a flip about Jesse or Angie.

I thought the wedding was wonderful. It was great to see the mix of characters today, and the historically accurate references and dialog. Everyone (save one) seemed honestly happy for the Hubbards.

Everything about Zen today was good. Their opening scene with Kendall asking Zach if he'd marry her all over again was just perfect, as was his 'always, only you' in response. It felt like some of that tentativeness of the past few weeks has gone away. I loved it when he muttered 'how much time we got?' just before SHE interrupted. Oh the possibilities.

I didn't feel the gravity of Greenlee's shock today. It wasn't very climactic to me. In fact, did it really take her the whole wedding to figure out what Jack had meant? Her little revelation fell flat, IMO. Can't feel her pain if she doesn't look like she has any.

I thought the wedding was very beautiful. DM and DW did an amazing job. I really think the Greenlee drama could have waited though. Seriously, who wants to see her pissy little face in the middle of a wonderful occasion for a well-deserving family? Honestly, the me me me id-ridden mindset of someone who is supposed to be a 30-something adult is really unattractive. That shit stops being cute once you're outta diapers.

The only person who needed to know about that garbage was Zach and he knows and that is all I care about. I don't care for that trick's latest tantrum or manipulations because she lost any room to say jack shit to Kendall the day she drove her baby off a cliff.

I want that damn Ne Yo song. It had better leak soon.

I think you were talking about the song.... not you. lol ~ Cheryl

Gorgeous wedding. I've made no secret that I was a little in love with DW back in the '80s. Forgive me, TK, but today, DW was Da Man, spectacularly handsome, and witty, and emotional, and real. Jesse was, too, but I saw DW in his scenes with DM, especially during the vows.

I'm not sure if it was acting choices by TK and AM, or if it was directed that way, but the closeness of Zen during the wedding ceremony was almost as eyecatching as the great ceremony itself.

I'm not sure what possessed the show to have Jack call Aidan and Kendall's five minutes of sex "stabbing Greenlee in the back". They thought she was dead. WTF crawled up Jack's ass and died?

This storyline is not making me like Greenlee at all, or even helping me to stay neutral about her. And I'm one of the less vocal Greenlee Haters in the world. AMC is making some major mistakes during Sweeps. Basing 6-7 episodes on Aidan's heroism in Darfur, and now making Greenlee the center of attention during J/A's wedding because of a ONS mistake, are the two glaring ones right now, IMO.

This whole Greenme S/L :bullshit

Although I have know for weeks that it was coming, to actually hear the words come out of Greenlee's mouth in the preview totally disgusted me. She really is pure evil..... I can only pray that Pratt hates her and kills her off along with her father....If Erica gets out and still want Jack, I'll have to go back to not liking her very much....JackAss is just that

Now, the wedding was beautiful, I smiled the whole time, Angie and Jesse were gorgeous, soooooooo happy, too bad it's ruined by Robert and Greens.

But as gorgeous as A&J were, Zen still out shines everyone they come in contact with. Just watching them and how they are with each other is an amazing thing. They are so real in their love for each other, no one else can compare.

I had to repeat this over here

:bullshit

TKLOVER - May 22, 2008 02:22 AM (GMT)
I have to say that J/A's wedding was amazing & one of the all time most spectacular & beautiful weddings of all time, on tv & off. I have not really connected with their story & at times I've been bored with it but not today!! It gave me chills & tears. How perfect! And Zen was so amazing to watch & all the little things they did in the background somehow solidified the moment. I loved the kiss & the "always only you" from Zach to Kendall at Casa Slater & loved the little whispering,
"how much time do we have"!! The GROWL rocked my world! Lord have mercy! And the Kass grab! It was a great Zen day even tho' it was just a few little things, nobody does it better. But it was all the Hubbards day today. I agree with Des, I have to have that song!
Now for the gnome, she needs to go home asap. I don't even know why she was there.. what's her connection to the Hubbards? And it was nice to have a Lavery free day.

Desiree - May 22, 2008 02:29 AM (GMT)
Careful with the spoilers, dudes. :)

zenamo - May 22, 2008 06:25 AM (GMT)
I enjoyed the whole episode today! (Well, almost--and that's pretty damn good.) Been editing poetry for the past four hours, so I hope this stays coherent. . . .

Jangie Wedding - Loved it. Usually, those things tend to drag on and on, get too sappy, etc.--but this was just the right amount of sappy, was beautifully paced, and balanced. I thought all the characters belonged there, their interactions were great, and nobody bugged me (except, of course, Jackass, Greenlee, Aidan, and CUR). I agree with Jules about wardrobe too. Everyone looked great except Colby and Greenlee.

I loved seeing the old families around--loved the vets. Marion and Stuart were great, loved Tad and Greg, loved . . . well, you get the idea.

Hated Jackass and his jackass ways. He revelled in telling--bastard. I hate the way he treats Kendall. Erica needs to hook up with Sam ASAP. I think they'd be hot together. Sam obviously respects Erica and Kendall more than Jackass does, so I say bring him on. Aidan is no better. WTF was up with his attitude today? I really want Zach to see these two treating Kendall this way, and then I want to see him kick their sorry asses. Greenlee is so pathetic. I must stay that I was glad that she was miserable though. I kept laughing every time they showed her "devastated" face--I mean, seriously, I was practically cackling Dixie style it was so funny.

I was disgusted by the preview--not surprised, but disgusted. I was struck not only with the classless way she made comments about Kendall carrying her baby (after all the recent convos, it was exceptionally low), but by the way she spared no thought for Zach's position and just opened her mouth for her humiliate Kendall rant (TG '05, anyone?). UGH.

Zen - The two of them at home: stunning and beautiful and hawt (until Greenlee came over to ruin things with her selfishness--bitch). The two of them at the casino: studly boss man indeed! The two of them at the wedding: could they have been any closer, more into each other, or more in love? I loved all the shots of them--even in the background, they steal the show. When Kendall said she'd never seen a more beautiful bride, and Zach said that he had . . . perfection. Okay, and how amazing was that growl?! It was like he was rolling an "r" or something--extra hawt! It was unbelievably hawt! I was downright giddy. :yay

All signs, for me, pointed towards Zen being happy and getting through this ish.

GO TEAM SLATER!!!

I loved the wedding. I think DW and DM are so natural together (much like TK/AM) and it definitely comes through. AMC did this right and I liked seeing all the faces we haven't seen in a while. I would have loved them to give Julia and Jake a chance. I think a story where they connect and then Tad finds out about Kathy with a conflict in the Martin clan could have been interesting.

What can I say about Zen except that even when they don't have a line you feel the love. The touches, hugs, THE GROWL (studly boss indeed) are pure Zen and they always outshine everyone.

Jules ITA about AMC making a big mistake focusing on Gaidan during May sweeps. I've said this many times that last May they focused on Ryass' wedding and that was when the ratings started to decline and they made the same big mistake this year. With ratings in the toilet, why would you go this route. Doesn't make sense.

As far as GB is concerned, do any of us even care. This person is not worth my time. I don't feel anything for her (who does) and don't care that her world is falling apart. I am just sad that Jackass has been lost to me forever because of this whole mess.

I waffle between indifference for the gnome, complete annoyance, and the desire to choke her.
