Title: It Ain't My Fault!

Jermetria - May 27, 2008 06:01 PM (GMT)
Sometimes I wish Kendall would bust out the Silkk the Shocker or some Tupac and Biggie and blast it as loud as she can. Cuz whenever they need a punching bag Kendall is #1 on the list. I haven't even watched the show and reading recaps gives me a headache.

Can you imagine the looks on peoples faces if Kendall were to start blaring this:

{They tryin to say that I don't care}
I woke up screamin, "Fuck the world!"
{They tryin to say that I don't care}
Just woke up and screamed, "Fuck the world!"
{They tryin to say that I don't care}
Uhh, I woke up and screamed, "Fuck the world!"
{They're tryin to say that I don't care}
Just got up and screamed, "Fuck the world!"

AHHH! The smell of Pac in the afternoon. LOVE HIM!

Oh wow, J! Your breaking out some of the Dirty South's greatest hits.

(Uh ohhhhhh!)
Ohhhhhhhhhhhh
It ain't my fault
(Did I do that?)
It ain't my fault
(Did I do that?)
It ain't my fault
(Did I do that?) [x2]

When is Kendall going to learn? It's always her fault. Silly girl.

You'd think that I'd be used to the fuckery by now but I still feel that familiar rage coming on while reading recaps.

I am not going to write about how great the scenes were with the hostage situation at the casino, because I am sure many of you will do a better job than I. I will say only that Sidney Penny gave a fabulous heart wrenching performance and only reaffirmed the mistake TPTB are making in not giving her a s/l deserving of her talent. There are so many other characters that should have been taken off our screens during this crisis….but alas, perhaps some day.

Kendall is AMC’s punching bag. Today was too painful to watch The writers’ attempt to garnish some sort of sympathy for GB is so pathetic that instead of writing her character worthy of sympathy and respect , they dumb down other characters to do it……and it just doesn’t work. Today’s GB IMO was pathetic, juvenile, unconvincing of her love for Aiden, and insulting to Zach, a man who was only there to return a purse left in his car (which she probably left on purpose) and only remained to help her through what he saw as an emotional upheaval. Today Zach was the man he has always been….considerate and caring to a woman the he believed was in pain…..Julia, Dixie, Hannah. GB should have respected that and not taken advantage of a situation and behaved like a moronic slut. To kiss him at a time when he was only being supportive and expect some sort of response proved how little she knows Zach. The bomb shelter sure did not educate her to the love and commitment this man has to his wife and children and how much they are his life. She sure proved she doesn’t get Zach at all. Zach did not kiss her back. I only saw a slight reflex reaction from a surprise move on her part. Dixie got more of a reaction from him than the green slut.

I am so glad that Zach just dropped her off and did not go with her to her apartment until he found her purse in his car and was considerate enough to return it. He had no intention of playing Kendall to try to make her understand and comfort her. I’m sure Zach did not want to relive his own pain through her pity party behavior, since he was trying so hard to put it behind him. He was probably rushing back to Kendall at the casino.

Kendall’s going to Ryan to look for GB was moronic writing IMO. She told Ryan about the crisis at the casino, but failed to call and tell Zach…….if I spill the venom I feel for that lame plot contrived writing it might just come out of the computer screen and hurt someone.

I was surprisingly moved by Julia's scenes today. I have to confess that news of SP's departure has not made me as sad as others have felt. Nothing against the actress at all, but Julia had no role on the show, and I've felt that way since her return. But her death scenes with Krystal and Joe, of all people, were excellent.

Adam and Kathy together were a joy.

Another shocker for me: Ghost Dixie and Tad, with Jake saving Tad's life, worked very well, IMO. RPG is fitting in so perfectly. And there was something ironic about Ruth and Opal being the two people we saw giving comfort to Cassandra and answering the police questions, not knowing that Tad was dying on the roof.

I wish AMC had scrapped the Kendall/Ryan scenes. Their sole purpose was so Ryan could know about the ONS and go after Greenlee. Nothing was accomplished except to make me shake my head in disappointment.

Oh, Zach? I have to tell you something. Your casino is the scene of multiple shootings and a hostage crisis. You and your wife should stop holding the hands of those who are not nearly as helpless as you (for some deranged reason) seem to think they are. AMC found a way to have Tad find out about Zen burning down a cabin he didn't give a hoot about. Why are Zach and Kendall oblivious to what is happening at the hotel, and why was Kendall less concerned about it than about poor, alone Greenlee?

Sometimes I have to wonder what AMC's writers are thinking when they write Zen like this. It's not very smart at all.

Last thought: I will never feel sorry for Greenlee. Ever.

perky7kc - May 27, 2008 10:42 PM (GMT)
I totally got what I expected today. Zach and GB bonding and Kendall running to Ryan because we all know he MUST be included (he has no other purpose on this show). It was horribly written (sorry TK and Lish not even you could save the writing). It was pathetic really.

Zach was called by neither Kendall or his employees and he wasn't worried about how his wife would get home and she wasn't worried about where he was or if he was mad. All this bad writing for one character (okay two because they write the same way for Ryan). I said on the LD that it was like they got a couple of interns together and told them to throw something together for Z/G and R/K and that's what we got.

This is what's wrong with AMC. They may do one or two things right but in the big pictured the whole show is f----- up bigtime. They give us two seconds of Zen happy (for which we're suppose to kiss their feet) and the rest of the time Zen are supporting characters only their to service GB.

Kudos to SP for giving a performance I know she's capable of. How sad that we lose this actress and they keep the pathetic ones (you know who I mean). There was so much they could have done with Julia (if they had decent writers) even now that it saddens me to think that we've lost another good actor for the sake of the weakest links.

Even though I know they say Zen are invincible, I don't expect any sl for them for a long time (if ever) because they will never give them anything to do other than support Ryan and GB.

I personally don't like the fact that Zach kissed back instead of just pushing away (I didn't like it when he did it with Dixie either) but hey I guess I should be grateful it wasn't revenge sex. How sad is it that I should be glad about that.

Putting on my mod hat for a second: This is a Lish board and by extension, a Kendall board. You can write paragraphs about how wonderful other characters/actors/actresses are, I don't really care---as long as Kendall is being respected. Thank you for riding Lish Airlines.

As for the show, it's fairly simple. Zach wasn't notified about the shooting and Kendall was oblivious because it's much, much more important that they hold Greenlee's hand and her purse for her. As a bonus, Ryan got to climb up on his high horse to blame Kendall for all of the problems of the world, most recently Greenlee's woes and the earthquakes in China.

They fail to realize three things:

1) The only feelings of Greenlee's I'm concerned with is if she's feeling especially close to Death. If not, I don't care.

2) There are certain people who feel the need to climb up on their high horse to talk down to Kendall (and occasionally Zach when he can tear himself away from his purses) when they don't even have a horse to sit on. Not only has AMC beaten every available horse to death, but some of these people should even be climbing onto a rocking horse to point fingers. Glass houses and stones anyone?

3) My brain does not reset every few weeks. I remember things that happened years ago pretty vividly. That being said, I really think it's time that Ryan's Jizz takes it's rightful place in the credits. We have this woman-desperate-to-have-his-baby thing at least once a year. I'm thinking they can giving it's own floaty picture right after Lucci, or maybe they can just have his harem hold Sample tubes. I can totally help them out with the Sample tubes, BTW. We can add trees to them.

Desiree I agree with you that this is a Lish board and by extension Kendall. I cry when I see that Kendall's wonderful growth as a wife and mother being abused for plot devices to prop the usless and unsalvageable in the show. However despite the Ryan put down today, I saw a Kendall whose heart is breaking for an ungrateful unworthy friend. Kendall told Ryan that she loves her husband and what happened between her and Aiden was a one time mistake when they thought that their loved ones were dead and they were trying to deal with the pain. Her selfless act to carry Ryan's baby for Greenlee is being referred to again as a betrayal through Ryan's sanctimonious mouth, instead of the unselfish sacrifice she was ready to make to save GB. Zach loves Kendall for her big heart and is trying hard to understand what happened when he was missing and move on with their life together. The Ryans and Greenlees are like leeches that have attached themselves to Zach and Kendall and their loving family unit and will never understand what unconditional love is all about.

Interesting thing that I noticed in the Zach/GB scenes while doing the summation. Zach is actually humoring Greenlee during the whole scene and treating her like a temper tantrum throwing child, not like a mature woman that has just been betrayed by the man she loved. I love the way TK played the scene. It is actually funny the way Greenlee is behaving. Zach's relationship with her is so like in the bomb shelter when she was being whiney. IMO Zach doesn't believe that she loved Aiden at all or that she is hurting as much as she wants him to believe. He is being like a big brother to her. This scene more than any other shows this relationship as such. That IMO makes her kissing him even more ridiculous and makes her look even more pathetic. She doesn't have a clue who Zach is. She doesn't get him at all.

The only thing I can add that set my tone for the entire show for me ...was the opening montage of what happened previously..with voice over..

"A dirty little secret".. with Kendall's face on screen...referrring to the grief sex when Kendall's heart was breaking after Aidan forced her to lose every bit of hope she was hanging onto.

No mention of any of Greenlee's deeds..no mention of her dirty little kidnapping, no mention of the dirty little ruination of Annie and Ryan's wedding, no mention of dirty little threats for custody of Spike, no mention of dirty little stealing of a manuscipt that did not belong to you, no mention of making life hell for the entire Fusion staff.

Just dirty little Kendall..who made a mistake in overwhelming grief.

Just ironically, Greenlee .reaching out in her own "grief" to Kendall's husband.. She wanted to have sex with Zach cause she is upset...because she is mad at Kendall and Aidan for having sex when they were upset. Go figure.

I guess you are allowed to "cheat" when you are mad but not when you are devastated. Makes perfect sense to me. :angry:

Sorry to see Julia go...the talented leave again.

This show isn’t much fun to watch. It just hurts my heart over and over or makes me want to explode at the craziness of it all. I hope it gets better.

Jules - May 28, 2008 02:24 AM (GMT)
Sorry, Des. I feel the same as Deb, and my frustration came through a little. I believe AM and TK deserve so much better than this.

Kathy, for too long, there has been a massive disconnect between the writing for Greenlee and those around her on AMC, and the actual audience's reaction, as well as what actually happened on AMC with the ONS. In early 2008, I believed it was because of the strike and because there was an attempt to make RB's Greenlee a more sympathetic character, but they were called out by fans and the magazines for these story mistakes. We're in May now, and the strike is long over, and there's no explanation I can come up with to explain how and why they keep getting it wrong.

I just want to move on to tomorrow's show and put today's show behind us.

Kathy, that montage at the beginning of the show made me livid. They showed the excerpt from Greenlee's sick mind, not what we saw on the show in December, to make it look worse for Kendall. Those hacks have been re-writing even recent history to make it worse than it was. Kendall was emotionally broken by an abusive man. That is what I saw on my screen.

Do they really think that we will feel sorry for the slutty bitch by changing history and making Kendall look bad? The only Greenlee I may feel a little sorry for is a dead Greenlee....and even then I doubt that I will shed a tear.

The Recap really pissed me off. WTF are they smoking?!?!? Yeah, evil Kendall betrays her BFF with a lusty encounter with Aidan--riiiight. Crackheads. Okay, then after that, today was all laughter/exasperation (Hubbards/Martins/CUR), tears (Hospital/Chandlers), and disgust/annoyance (Kendall/Ryan/Zach/Greenlee).

Hubbards/Martins - Being on the run really got Jesse into good shape for all that hanging-onto-the-helicopter-by-your-fingernails stuff. That stuff was crazy ridiculous. I was really annoyed by the fact that Jangie kept stopping to make out before they actually tried to land the helicopter and checkn on other people. I felt like they were being really selfish. Poor Tad! And, um, how long did it take to call the cops, have the lone paramedic show up--without a backboard or anything--and then they still had to have Frankie fly them out? WTF?! Jesse's confrontation w/CUR was just stupid; talking to that guy was a waste of time.

Julia's Death Scene - SP was great. I mean, I actually cried. It sucks that they felt they had to kill her off. Don't they realize that killing people off only makes it ridiculous when they want to bring them back? Oy. KWAK didn't bother me, but Joe looked like he was smiling too much or something. It was weird.

Chandlers - Adam was great with Kate. So sad. . . .

Kendall/Ryan - Seriously?! That was so incredibly stupid and annoying. You guys have already covered the many WTF moments of their convo, but I'll just say that it sucked and I hated it. I felt really sorry for AM, but I actually felt sorry for CM too. At least he didn't go totally rage monkey on her, I guess, but the fact that it's all about Kendall torturing Greenlee makes me so friggin' sick that I can't stand it.

Zach/Greenlee - So, so, so very wrong. I can't get into all the reasons--gotta try not to get into those paroxysms of anger--but good god, that was awful! Did anyone else feel like when Zach was saying that he understood if she couldn't forgive him that he was really thinking "please, don't forgive me so I can get you out of my life already!" The kiss made me ill. He was too responsive for me--I'm not saying he was into it, but he wasn't pushing that vapid whore off of him nearly fast enough for me. And Greenlee is such a worthless bitch. It was so obvious that she was trying to upset Zach, to drag him back into being angry with Kendall, and turn him against her. I HATE Greenlee!!!!!

UGH. I have to stop writing, even though there were so many things to write about. . . .

GO TEAM SLATER!!!!

The board looks great--swanky! :D

Those Rendall scenes, is exactly why I never want Kendall with Ryan again...its exactly why, I didn't believe his all too convenient Love for Kendall....its why, I always want Madden to be Spike's daddy.......

Zach and Greens, well, I knew she was going to Kiss him, I just didn't expect him to "linger" in the moment.....

what I loathe most about AMC, is the un-even writing.......I HATE, the way they always try and make Kendall the villian, "sleep around girl"....she is neither of those things......I don't get why they continiously have her "accepting" of the way Ryan, Aidan, and Greenlee speak to her, that's not who Kendall is....I long for the day when she tells those Idiots to Freak off.......

Ryan's convenient memory recollection and convenient events amnesia is total
:bullshit ........
